Kara Kul is a beautiful alpine lake in the Pamir mountains, located at an altitude of 3914 m. The lake itself is impressive due to its shear size and it’s fringed by snowcapped peaks, including the 7,000m + Peak Lenin. It is the part of the Silk Road and has a long history with merchants who passed this way.
