Our tour group heading off by small boat to explore the floating houses at Prek Toal.
Living Lands Organic Farm in Luang Prabang allows you to interact and experience each step of the rice harvest and see how different tools are created. The tour ends with a tasting of traditional foods made from rice. You will have a new appreciation for rice and admiration for the people of Lao who to this day continue to harvest rice without modern machinery. And test driving a buffalo is a fun and memorable experience!
In Luang Prabang you can follow the crowds to watch, or partake, in the morning alms giving ceremony. At times this can be a ‘circus’. Or head to a backstreet to see locals making donations with no tourists at all.
Congratulations to Angkor Silk Farm which reopens today after a long closure. Located 20 minutes outside of Siem Reap town, during a visit the process of silk production can be seen in its entirety, from growing mulberry bushes to the artistry of dyeing and weaving silk to create the end product. Children also enjoy being able to feed the silkworms! #AngkorSilkFarm
