Local guide with 10 years experience! I hold 2 Bachelor Degrees from Phnom Penh University in Social Science (history, philosophy…). What happened there?

My name is Bo Sopha , I was born in1979, I have a wife and two children one daughter and one son and we live in Siem Reap Angkor. I have been working as a tour guide for many years in Angkor Archaeological site as well as other tourism sites around Cambodia. I was studied in 1988 at Primary School and in 1993 I passed Secondary School Diploma, in 1995 very few of us could pass High School. I went

to Phnom Penh University 1998 and then Faculty of Pedagogy. I got married in 2004 while I met my wife at University. After marriage, I moved to live with my wife family. That is the tradition in Cambodia, the man has to move to wife’s family. I work very hard in my life to support my big family, only me work, the children go to school. The people of my age could not do like me but every thinking is from my hearts , how could I quit them?. I have to work for my big family. Even though it is very hard for me……that’s my conscience. 1993-1998, I was studies : French & English

1995-2000 , I was studies :Khmer History , Cultural , Civilizations and Religious with three Teachers English. In order get experience and Knowledge .
2000 -2003, I was at Hotel as my position Assistant Front Office .
2003, I was meet Dr Basil Stomas, USA man who is sponsor for Angkor Children Hospital when I was driver. He was helped me to be Tour Guide .
2005 , I was Tour Guide. First I was work for one agency K U Travel ,PSD Travel and K T R Travel until now . I had experience enough as I did for my guests tour trip 2005 till now. Tour Services

I am not only a tour guide, I am also an interpreter in a formal meeting or workshop and a fixer for journalist, photographer, writer and searcher, who need to make a story…like; I help writers to search about Local Khmer healer, mental people and street children…
