Angkor Wat - The largest religious monument in the world, Angkor Wat is an iconic symbol of Cambodia and a must-visit for its magnificent architecture and detailed bas-reliefs. Bayon Temple - Located in the center of Angkor Thom, Bayon is famous for its multitude of serene and smiling stone faces carved into its towers. Ta Prohm - Known for the massive trees and roots that grow over and through the ruins, Ta Prohm offers a unique, jungle-overgrown atmosphere. Banteay Srei - Often referred to as the "Citadel of Women," Banteay Srei is renowned for its intricate carvings and red sandstone construction. Angkor Thom - The last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom includes notable temples like Bayon and Baphuon. Preah Khan - A large, monastic complex, Preah Khan is known for its elaborate carvings and sprawling layout, offering a less crowded experience. Ta Som - Similar to Ta Prohm but smaller and less visited, Ta Som features a picturesque overgrown gate with a massive tree growing atop it. Neak Pean- An artificial island with a Buddhist temple, Neak Pean is unique for its central pool and surrounding smaller pools, representing the mythical Himalayan lake. Baphuon - Located within Angkor Thom, Baphuon is a three-tiered temple mountain with impressive bas-reliefs and a large reclining Buddha on its western side. Phnom Bakheng - A hilltop temple offering spectacular sunset views over Angkor Wat and the surrounding countryside, making it a popular spot in the late afternoon. These temples provide a glimpse into the rich history, culture, and architectural brilliance of the Khmer Empire.
