Angkor Wat is one of the seven wonders of the world and people should visit it at least once in their life time to experience the world's largest religious monument.
During the reign of the king Suryavarman II (1113-1150), this monument was built to worship a Hindu God called Vishnu -god of protection. One should enter the sacred place from the west entrance to capture the view of the moat and causeway extending to the king's entrance, officers and ministers' entrances and ordinary ones. While visiting inside, one will marvel the beauty of the carvings on the 8 bas-relief galleries depicting stories after stories. One should climb to the third level of Angkor Wat to view the holistic scale of the temple and admire the serenity of the place.
