Savuth has been providing top notch tuk tuk services to tourists for many years now. He is in his mid-forties, married and has four lovely young children, two boys and two girls, between 4 and 12 years old. At the beginning of the Khmer Rouge regime Savuth was a young adolescent. Like all of his fellow Cambodians, Savuth witnessed and experienced first-hand the horrors of that period. And like most of his countrymen, his determination, unbending spirit and faith helped him to triumph over those tragedies. Rates begin at $10 only for touring the temples closer to Siem Reap ($10 Rolous Group, $13 for 'small circuit' and $15 for 'grand circuit'). The small and grand circuits include most of the 'must-see' temples like Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Preah Khan plus of course many other noteworthy temples and sights. Touring that includes the small or grand circuit combined with the lovely small temple Banteay Srei which is 35 km from Siem Reap, will cost between $21 - $23 depending on the exact sites to be visited. From Banteay Srei you can even venture a bit further to Kbal Spean (River of 1000 Lingas) for only $5 more.
