Floatation Lounge Phnom Penh’s only floating bar and dining lounge, on the bank of the Mekong and Bassak Rivers.

Floatation - Mekong Bungalows are four unique wooden bungalows floating on the Mekong River, three serving as restaurant. You can visit for dinner all the week and lunch during weekends, right on the water line. The fourth bungalow is an experimental floating Jungloo, private floating bio-climatic suite where you will soon be able to spend the night.

Ever wondered what’s beneath your feet? It’s not just any foundation––it’s a recycled floating platform! Made from two discarded containers filled with polystyrene, this platform incorporates around 64,000 used lunch boxes along with four water barrels, helping the containers stay afloat.

Floatation (formerly Mekong Bungalows)

Cruise the river on Le Tonle, a traditional wooden rice boat, while watching the sunset beyond the Phnom Penh skyline. The boat stops at Floatation’s floating restaurant and lounge at Koh Pich, where guests can experience the Tonle Bassac and Mekong rivers up close with a cocktail, or stay longer for a romantic dinner.

The Floatation cruise departs once per day starting at 5 pm. The new location is also accessible by road on Koh Pich, making it an ideal place to host a small private party or event.
