The most amazing thing happened right before I took this photo. It was such a beautiful thing to see. I know anyone coming across this post would have loved to see it too, but unfortunately this is all I have to share with you. I should have shot a little sooner. There is no evidence of what I saw. You will just have to take my word for it.
I'm sure some of us can look back at a situation like this and laugh.
I recently had a traveler contact me for assistance because they spelled their name wrong when booking their flight. Now, this is not a client of mine. They were simply looking for help and found my agency's name and contacted me.
I know it's possible for a travel agent to get the client's name wrong. I've seen this working as a ticket agent at the airport, but having a traveler spell their own name wrong. Though I can see the potential of this happening, it still just never occurred to me.
We can sometimes take things for granted and because we know our own names, sometimes we can move a little too self-assured and make mistakes where they need not happen. It's good to always pause and check the information you input, despite knowing you know it like it's your own, because it is.
But if you do find yourself facing this dreadful situation, no matter what, be sure to remain calm and consider all your options available to your circumstances.
In times like this, it's good, if one of those options is to contact your travel agent.
As the days slowly roll on we edge ever more closely to another mango festival season in 2025. I can't wait to see what that season will bring.
There are always so many opportunities to gather and enjoy time together and the Nevis Mango Food Fair is a great one. It's summer, it's sunny, there's food, there's the outdoors. You wouldn't want anything better.

I love providing my clients with comfort because I'm a creature of comfort myself. Even a short ferry ride over to Nevis has to be as top tier comfortable as I can make it.
There's so many ways to get over to our sister island, but faster is not always the most comfortable for me. Perhaps someone else may prefer the speed of a motor boat, but I thoroughly enjoyed my experience on the MV IConnect. Why wouldn't I? I was comfortable.
With clear skies and calm seas, it made the luxury of having such huge windows to gaze at the scenery nothing but wonderful. The hour was too short.

Bali is an excellent destination for those who crave a partying nightlife. In Bali, there's not law enforced opening or close times for nightclubs and the party tends to begin around midnight.
The best night clubs are found in Kuta, Legian and Seminyak, with Kuta offering a more wild and free experience.
If the party starts and midnight, they usually go until sunrise.
Kuta beach is the most popular beach in Bali. Depending on your point of view it is a place you will love, or love to hate, sms. Golden sand stretching on for 12 km, lively and usually filled with vacationers, locals, surfers and vendors; Kuta beach is for the one who craves activity and wants to be surrounded by lots of energy.
There's a lot to do on Kuta beach, you can walk, surf, swim, sunbathe, or simply just sit and people-watch. No matter what you love doing at the beach, you can enjoy it at Kuta. You can rent a sun-lounger of surf board, or get your hair braided or have a massage. There's even cocktails to quench your thirst or you can have lunch at one of the many colorful restaurants.
The scenery may not be for the person who wants to find serenity and solitude. Off the beach you can find many chain restaurants and cheap cafes, hawkers pushing slogan t-shirts and an endless flow of traffic.
Although it remains the most popular beach in Bali, it may not quite be for everyone. Does it sound like a scene for you to enjoy?

I got a taste of Gary when I was in Nevis on Sunday. I'm pretty sure this is not the first time, but it's been the first time in a long time (a few years actually). I love the taste of this mango and was happy to be reminded of that. It was sweet, but not full of threads (if that's the correct term) like the grafted and polly mangoes I've been eating for the entire season.
One of the things I love so much about the Nevis Mango Festival is the variety of mangoes. You can get so used to having one variety, but there are so many others you can learn to appreciate. This Gary mango I imagine would go excellently in a salad. I can almost taste it now, can you?
I am happy the weather was not like this yesterday. It's amazing how we can so easily be humbled by nature. It reminds us we are not in complete control and sometimes just like the waters we have a border given to is that we cannot pass.
I would not have been able to enjoy the sunshine and the outdoors at the Mango festival in Nevis yesterday if this is what the weather was like. I'm thankful we were granted that grace.
Laying here listening to the rain falling and the thunder rolling, I am thankful for the beautiful weather we experienced yesterday. Rain has its own beauty, and I always appreciate it, but it creates a very different experience for outdoor events, and it's not usually a pleasant one.

It's a little cliche, but islanders are always said to be some of the friendliest people. I dare say it's true. We are welcoming and we are loving and I do believe this is felt by the visitors who come to the island.
Ever since I was a child I have experiences of visitors stopping me on the street and asking for directions, or simply smiling with me as they pass by. This is something I experience even now. Our visitors will stop me and ask for directions, smile with me or ask where they can get good food. I think somehow they can tell I love to eat haha.
The picture here is of two men off the Princess cruise ship who playfully and happily posed for me after realizing I was about to take a picture of the cruise ship, but I stopped because they were passing. They were taking a walk along the Bay Road, which is a very relaxing experience if you're looking for just a nice, pleasant walk by the sea.
I love this photo because it represents so much for me. It's my history with visitors to the island, it's my love of the Bay Road area, my love for my travel business and my clients all wrapped into one. When you think about the unexpected things that can happen in a day to make it more than wonderful, this is the kind of experience that makes it top tier. I'm so thankful for this experience they gave me. I wish there was someone there to take a picture of me with the big grin on my face as they gave me a thumbs-up and waved goodbye.
