Come along with us to the 22nd Icheon Rice Festival and the Pottery Village. Icheon is famous for producing the best rice in Korea. It even used to be served to the King of Joseon dynasty! The rice festival not only celebrates Icheon's famous rice but also gives visitors a chance to watch and try-out different activities like playing mass tug-of-war or watching a traditional wedding, doll show, and ritual dances to bless the crop. Not to mention visitors can get to brag that they've eaten rice cooked from a huge rice cauldron that can feed up to 2,000 people!
For pottery, art, or lovers of anything aesthetically pleasing, Icheon's Pottery Village is a must-visit! It's a modern complex containing over 300 ceramic art studios, 40 of which still use wood-fired kilns. Other than buying ceramic work, visitors can have hands-on experience making ceramics, weaving rattan, or painting ceramics.
