[Introduce Historical Building for Cultural Uses]
Imbued with the memories of history, old buildings are increasingly being reapplied for contemporary purposes.
In 2017, the Mapo Oil Depot which was veiled for a long time returned as a cultural park, ๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐๐ง๐ค ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ค
The Oil Storage Base in Mapo was transferred to another site and the facilities has been shut down by December 2000. In 2013, the Seoul government held a public contest to decide on a new use for the closed site.
Through this active public participation, the facilities gained a new life as an ecological urban park and creative cultural complex in 2017.
The tank used to store oil turned into cultural tanks that create new cultural experiences every day.
