Took my morning dip today and looked up and thought: ”wow, the Ritz Carlton looks bigger and nearer than normal.” Then I looked again and saw 2 Ritz Carltons. A short time later I looked again and they had moved. A short time later it dawned on that they were cruise ships arriving.
Who says the brain takes a vacation down here?

The History of Rum Point

So named for remnants of rum barrels once washed ashore from floundering ships this pristine slice of the north side of Grand Cayman is a picturesque island retreat. With its extensive shallow waters shaded by tall Casuarina pine trees, RumPoint had long been a gathering spot for locals. When the original developers happened upon the shores of Rum Point they were immediately enchanted by this paradise. Rum Point Club, with its four employees, was originally operated by just candlelight and kerosene. Recognizing the historical importance of Rum Point, a group of investors purchased the Rum Point Club in 1994 and made improvements to create an atmosphere welcoming to both locals and visitors while respecting the Club's free-spirited past and public affection.
