New Visa requirements for Honduras. STARTING from tomorrow , 15 August 2024, British nationals including BOTC passport holders will require a visa to enter Honduras!!!!

The Government of Honduras that, effective August 15, 2024, the following nationals will require a visa for entry into Honduras:

Nationals of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Holders of British passports from the Special Administrative Regions of the People’s Republic of China (Hong Kong) stating “British nationality”

Holders of British Passports originally from other British territories, including the CCayman Islands Olympic Committee (CIOC)Islands.

The information coming from Cayman Airways is that visas for the above nationals are not currently being issued in the Cayman Islands, but may be obtained from the consulates in Panama City, Miami, Havana and Dominican Republic. Also in London as well.

the current information is that there is no electronic waiver and you cannot fly without a visa if you have one of the above passports.

Plus your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 6 months after the date you arrive in Honduras and have at least 2 blank pages.

AA is fully booked Cayman to Miami and Cayman to Charlotte and CAYMAN TO DALLAS for today 02JUL and 03JUL

Cayman airways is full 02JUL and 03JUL to Miami and JFK. No flights to Tampa.

Delta are fully booked Cayman to Atlanta 02JUL and 03JUL.

United Airlines are fully booked Cayman to Houston 02JUL and 03JUL

BA are fully booked CAYMAN TO LONDON 02JUL

UNITED AIRLINES has one seat 03JUL CAYMAN-WASHINGTON left .. dated 02JUL at 8am Cayman time.

BA has a couple of seats left 03JUL CAYMAN-LONDON.

Cayman friends.. Regarding Hurricane Beryl. dated 01JUL 2.45am Cayman time,

Please note , BA have not yet got a policy for any flights to and from Cayman. As of the last update on the 30JUN, the only airports that BA will allow any free changes are Barbados, St Lucia and St Vincent.

At 2.45am Cayman time 1st July, no flights have been cancelled with BA for this week for the CAYMAN-LONDON-CAYMAN route.

The below shows you the only policy that BA has for Hurricane Beryl and Cayman Islands is NOT included at the moment.

So this means any changes you wish to make will be at a cost and it will likely be incredibly expensive or not possible as flights are either full or very busy and therefore expensive.

As soon as I know anything further , I will update on facebook.

Travelling to the Philippines?

Mandatory immigration and health eTravel form

All travelers must complete the immigration and health arrival card (eTravel form) before departure to Philippines. Once completed, this form will generate a QR code that the traveler must present at check-in and on arrival in Philippines. Travelers must complete the registration a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Philippines.

For all Travelers.

Mandatory Digital immigration and health eTravel forms are required for many countries and if required then you must have these completed prior to going through immigration in that country and it maybe even mandatory to transit.

YOU MUST CHECK prior to flying.

Before you book your trip and then again before you fly ..
Think .. Passport/Visas/Forms/Accommodation.

1: Is your Passport valid and OK to fly with?

Some countries need it valid for a few months after your trip.

Also a strange rule but the EU only accepts passports valid 10 years from the issue dates, some (especially a few GB passports ) passports are valid longer than 10 years from the issue date and are not accepted by the EU.

Some countries need spare blank pages in your passport.

2: VISAS.
You must check if you need a Full Visa or Electronic waiver/EVisa/ESTA/ETA before booking your flights.

3: FORMS

Digital immigration and Custom forms are becoming more and more popular. You nearly need to assume you will need this.

Most countries that have this system in place, allow you to complete the digital form a maximum of 72hrs prior to your departure flight to that country.

Many airlines will not allow you to board without these digital forms completed prior to check in. Some airlines let you do it once you land in the destination country. Either way scrambling around, trying to find the right website, download the forms and complete can be very stressful especially if you have limited , bad or no internet at the airport.

4: Accommodation
Some countries say they need proof of accommodation booked.
Airlines MAY ask for you to show this proof before allowing you to fly.

A great site to use for more information is SHERPA.

But I will list below some countries that I know require these digital immigration forms. This does not include all countries, just the ones I know of.

Digital immigration forms are mandatory for:
Philippines
Singapore
New Zealand.
Barbados
Bahamas
Bermuda
Saint Lucia.
Domincan Republic
Honduras.
Guatemala.
Chile.

Nicaragua * Recommended not mandatory .. yet
South Africa * Recommended, not mandatory.. yet

Then some countries also need mandatory accommodation prebooked . Two countries that I can think of are:
BVI
Belize.

Mexico also requires this.
Foreign nationals visiting the state of Quintana Roo are required to pay a tourism tax (Visitax) of MXN 271.00 (USD 16.00). This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travelers:
- Travelers visiting other states in Mexico;
- Mexican nationals.
The payment can be made online before arrival or on arrival in Mexico. Travelers are required to provide proof of payment.

For anyone overnighting/visiting Panama .
Travelers may be required to prove economic solvency of at least USD 500 to enter Panama.

For anyone overnighting/visiting in Costa Rica
Travelers must have sufficient funds of USD 100 to enter Costa Rica.

For Brazil
Citizens travelling with passports from Australia, Canada and the United States visiting Brazil for tourism and business will be subject to visa requirements for entry into Brazilian territory starting from April 10th, 2025.

The Department for Transport has informed airlines that from 00:01 on Sunday 9 June 2024, 100ml restrictions on liquids will be temporarily reintroduced for customers travelling from six regional airports where Next Generation Security Checkpoints (NGSC) are in full operation, including flights from London City, Newcastle and Aberdeen.

This means that until further notice, customers flying from London City, Newcastle and Aberdeen, must ensure any liquids taken as hand luggage are less than 100ml in volume. Any liquids larger than this cannot currently travel in hand luggage and must be checked in or disposed of.

The airline's website calls it a "white paw" experience, with a quick check-in process for the dogs and their human companions.

**TRAVELLING TO PANAMA??!!**

Effective immediately, all passengers traveling to PTY, that they will be required to complete the Digital Travel Affidavit prior to their arrival at the Tocumen Airport. The Digital Travel Affidavit must be completed online no more than 3 days prior to their arrival. Once the digital form is complete, they will be sent a copy of the document along with a QR code that they must present when arriving at the customs facility in PTY. The paper declaration forms will no longer be accepted after 01 June 2024.

All passengers of legal age or responsible member of the family group, family is considered to be the husband, wife, and children under the age of 18, including adopted children must complete this form upon entry to their departure from the Republic of Panama, without missing any of the boxes.

A reminder ... If you are flying to New Zealand everyone must complete a pre-arrival declaration form and unless you have a NZ or Australian passport then you will need some form of a visa, either a ETA or full visa.

All travellers to New Zealand must complete a New Zealand Traveller Declaration before reaching passport control in New Zealand.

You can start and complete a New Zealand Traveller Declaration:

Once you have started your declaration, you will be emailed a reference number that you can use to review, complete or make changes to your declaration. Take note of this reference number, just in case you need it on arrival into New Zealand.
For air travellers, the earliest you can submit your declaration is 24 hours before you start your trip to New Zealand.

If you have a stopover (you leave the airport and take your bags with you), the earliest you can submit your declaration is 24 hours before your flight leaves your stopover location for New Zealand.

You do not need to print anything out.

Air travellers who are transiting through New Zealand and stay in the transit area of an airport do not need to complete a declaration.

Once you have started your declaration, you will be emailed a reference number that you can use to review, complete or make changes to your declaration. Take note of this reference number, just in case you need it on arrival into New Zealand.

Short-Term Parking Lot at ORIA Temporarily Closed to Facilitate Airport Upgrade
6 March 2024
The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA), which operates the Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) on Grand Cayman and the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA) on Cayman Brac, is excited to announce a significant upgrade at ORIA with the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting in the airport terminal parking lots.

These new LED lights will not only enhance visibility but also contribute to its commitment to sustainability by reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint.

To facilitate the installation of new LED light poles in a safe and efficient manner, the Short-Term Parking Lot at ORIA will be temporarily closed on Sunday, 10 March – Thursday, 14 March 2024. During this period of five days, Airport passengers and guests are encouraged to drop off and pick up curbside, or to park in the Long-Term Parking Lot (Short-Term and Long-Term parking rates will apply).

The traveling public is encouraged to proceed with caution when accessing the airport terminal and to follow personnel directions carefully when navigating the parking areas.

The Short-Term Parking Lot will reopen on Friday, 15 March 2024.
