^^The 16th “Elephant Festival” in Xayaboury Province takes place until 20th February 2023” with a total of 75 elephants participating in the event.
^^Elephants will participate in majestic processions and there will also be shows featuring performances by elephants, and other activities like elephant painting, city elephant rides and visitors would get a chance to feel elephants as well.
^^This annual festival is organized to raise awareness about the decreasing number of the elephant population due to poaching and save them from extinction.

***Resume flight between Hanoi and Luang Prabang***

Lao Airways organized a welcoming ceremony for the reopening of the Vientiane Capital - Luang Prabang - Xiengmai; Luang Phabang - Hanoi and Luangprabang - Pakse - ready. As tourism resumes after suspending flights for years due to the COVID-19 outbreak has been well received from domestic and international travellers.

- Vientiane Capital - Luangprabang - Xiengmai road is available every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday starting from 30 October 2022 onward.
- Luang Prabang - Hanoi road is available every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday starting from 30 October 2022 onward.
- The road Luangprabang - Pakse - is ready to serve every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 01 November 2022 onwards.

The first flight operated by Ural Airlines flying non-stop from Vladivostok, Russia, landed at Wattay International Airport on Saturday evening.

Going forward, an Airbus A320neo will be plying every Saturday between Vladivostok to Vientiane, and flight time will be 6 hours and 25 minutes.
