👥 Meet Our Southern Laos Team! 👥
For 8 days, our team explored the hidden treasures of this enchanting region. They navigated winding paths, discovered breathtaking landscapes, and met local communities.

Let's shine a light on our team who were on the ground:
Sengtavanh (Seng) hails from Paksé. Now a Vientiane resident and full time Travel Designer at Laos Mood Travel, he often visits his family and relatives down in the provincial capital of Champassak. He recently gladly returned to his native south to complete a trio of teammates contributing his characteristic good mood, drawing / sketching talents and throwing in sparkles of his very own personal favorites. Seng excels at identifying striking front covers images to illustrate his programs. And you can be guaranteed that we now have a few more in stock to happily share with you soon. 🎨

Dueanphen (Duean) is a Senior Travel Designer who has a predilection for luxury travel. While she has the lowest tone of voice in the entire company, her voice is heard by those who surround her from both the buyers and suppliers’ sides. She has a sharp eye for numerical details. She is quick at putting services together to quote complex tours. She is well-traveled in Laos and possesses sound judgement. She is as excited to leave on the ground than returning to her loving family. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Khonekham (Khone) is our handy man. Born in Oudomxay, he has had a Buddhist education with a 7-year long stay at a temple. Once graduated from college, he started his career at Laos Mood Travel in our Operations department. While mostly based at the office, he does not miss an opportunity to escape when important groups and inspections come. He is a skilled cook, knows by heart (challenging to many) Buddhist prayers, he has sharp drawing skills and an amazing memory to remember telephone numbers like no one else on earth. 🧠

Each week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, we will post intriguing riddles and revelations about our discoveries made during our 2024 inspection trips.

We are just back from our 11th .

Organized today by Laura who took the lead to bring us by surprise to Le Khem Khong restaurant for lunch. The team took great care of us and we had a delightful time together. The selected dishes reflect Laos Mood Travel's diverse team and influences with both local and French-inspired dishes.

We talked notably about internet data usage (and how inexpensive it is here in ), the new habit of food delivery through applications, education systems around the world and the emergence of more and more international schools in , graduation ceremonies, our relationship to the increasing number of 7Eleven outlets, everyone's habits with pets (cats, dogs, tortoises, fishes, and even a goat!) but also in-house animals breeding for home consumption (chickens, frogs, cattle, etc).

We are delighted to share that Thai Airways (TG) is set to resume its non-stop flights between (BRU) and (BKK) starting on the 1st of December 2024.

TG is set to resume its non-stop flights between "the capital of Europe" and BKK starting December 1, 2024. This marks the return of a key international route, offering daily flights that connect the heart of Europe with the vibrant capital of Thailand.

The flights will be serviced by the advanced B787-8 Dreamliner, featuring a two-class configuration: Royal Silk Class, which offers premium services and luxurious comfort, and Economy Class, designed to provide an enjoyable and relaxing journey for all passengers.

Flight schedules:

TG 935 BRU to BKK departs at 13:10, arriving the next day at 06:10.

TG 934 BKK to BRU departs at 00:30, arriving at 07:05.

At Laos Mood Travel, we are keen supporters of and we are just back from a memorable scouting trip that has revealed a lot more attractions than ever before. This part of Laos completes marvelously the more common northern regions. The reaches 2 digits with its 10th edition today!

Our colleague, Ms Mouk, took the entire team to one of her favorite places. That was a discovery for half of us, just a stone’s throw away distance from the office as we walked there. This eatery is better enjoyed when shared dishes are brought to the table. We indulged in varied very well-done classics, including seafood, fish, chicken soup, veggies, some salads, etc. We spoke notably about the upcoming Olympic Games in , the latest bakery additions in town, some plans for the holidays in sight, the changing weather and its consequences, and much more.
