At its core, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a bit of a Frankenstein exotic car. It's built on the bones of the LaFerrari Aperta supercar from a decade ago, is powered by the hyperkinetic V-12 engine from the 812 Competizione, and borrows the infotainment system from the SF90. The flesh on those bones is a carbon fiber work of art styled to pay homage to the iconic 330 P4 racecars that dominated the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1967, and the result is, obviously, spectacular. The combination of horizontal strakes at the rear and sensuous curves is genuinely arresting, and when you factor in the shriek of a V12 engine as it generates 829 horsepower, well, it's downright irresistible. Sadly, the prospect of owning a factory-fresh Daytona SP3 is impossible for us mortals. Only 599 examples will be produced, and they're already spoken for by an exclusive group of collectors known to Ferrari.
