At its core, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a bit of a Frankenstein exotic car. It's built on the bones of the LaFerrari Aperta supercar from a decade ago, is powered by the hyperkinetic V-12 engine from the 812 Competizione, and borrows the infotainment system from the SF90. The flesh on those bones is a carbon fiber work of art styled to pay homage to the iconic 330 P4 racecars that dominated the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1967, and the result is, obviously, spectacular. The combination of horizontal strakes at the rear and sensuous curves is genuinely arresting, and when you factor in the shriek of a V12 engine as it generates 829 horsepower, well, it's downright irresistible. Sadly, the prospect of owning a factory-fresh Daytona SP3 is impossible for us mortals. Only 599 examples will be produced, and they're already spoken for by an exclusive group of collectors known to Ferrari.

As a technical masterpiece, the Porsche 918 Spyder has secured a permanent place in Porsche history. It was the first production vehicle in the world to break the seven-minute mark on the Nürburgring Nordschleife — a milestone that demonstrates its impressive performance.
With a system output of 652 kW (887 PS) and combined consumption of 3.0 to 3.3 l/100 km, the 918 Spyder established benchmarks for the balance of power and efficiency. Its plug-in hybrid concept combines a 4.6-litre V8 engine with two electric motors that support the driver with a flexible combination of impressive combustion power and quiet electric power. The five driving modes allow you to choose between all-electric driving and performance for the racetrack. The all-wheel drive concept, which is based on knowledge gained from motorsport, ensures excellent driving stability, especially when cornering. For performance-oriented customers, Porsche offers the 918 Spyder with Weissach Package.

The Mercedes-Benz 200 was a variant of the W115 that was introduced for the 1969 model year. The 200 was only offered from the factory in a four-door sedan body style. These cars were powered by Mercedes engine, which was a 2.0L inline four that generated 94hp, which powered rear wheels via a 4 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. A total of 288,785 examples of the W115 Mercedes-Benz 200 were built before the end of production in 1976.
This model was very popular back in the day, and we still see it on the roads, which are still used as a daily drive.

Back in the late 70’s Mazda finally came out with a decent sports car that is a competitive rival to other JDMs in the same class. Well not long after that the RX7 found place in our hearts, started to go from mouth to mouth, appeared in popular magazine covers and famous video games. To cut the long story short it became the next JDM legend.
The RX7 FD Type RS was presented in 1997 in Japan. So what makes it different? In comparison to the standard FD models, Type RS edition is equipped with Bilstein suspension, upgraded brakes and turbochargers, lighter weight and reworked transmission.

The Lamborghini Huracán has been created for unprecedented performance. All the power and acceleration of a naturally aspirated V-10 engine, without giving up control or fun of driving. This is all thanks to the all-wheel drive system and the 7-speed Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) dual-clutch transmission, as well as the innovative Piattaforma Inerziale Lamborghini (LPI), created for accurate and real-time detection of all the chassis movements and for immediate adjustment of the car setup.
Top performance, but also maximum comfort: thanks to Lamborghini's ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligence Management) technology, the Huracán can meet all of your driving needs. Each single part recalibrates to provide a driving experience like no other.

20/01/2025

The legendary Series 1 started the whole Land Rover story. Its boxy looks survive to this day thanks to the Defender, so it’s instantly recognisable as a result.

The Series I was conceived in the late Forties, when Rover had a reputation for luxury saloons. Post-war steel shortages forced bosses to broaden their horizons, and their answer was the Land Rover. It was intended as a stop-gap measure to keep factories busy until they could get back to building road cars – its angular bodywork was made of aluminium, which was easy to get hold of. However, demand for the new off-roader took off, and it wasn’t long before it was outselling the company’s four-doors.

Rover got its inspiration from the American military Jeep, and the original Series 1 even shared its wheelbase with the US legend. That doesn’t make for the most spacious cabin, though, and if you open the Series I’s flimsy door – by reaching through a canvas flap to the lever inside – you’re greeted by a cramped interior. Three seats are squeezed across the front, and the cabin is light on creature comforts. The heavy steering also takes some getting used to due to its vague responses – but off-road, the Series 1 begins to make sense.

While it has a small 1.6-litre petrol engine, the permanent four-wheel drive ensures it remains unbeatable over rugged terrain. Superb traction and a high ground clearance make a mockery of muddy paths and water troughs, while the torquey powerplant propels it up the steepest slopes.

1930 Mercedes-Benz 710 SSK Trossi Roadster "The Black Prince"
One of the most revered sports cars in the world is the SSK and this one features the most dramatic body of them all. It’s nicknamed after Carlo Trossi who was its first owner and had close connections to the industry. In fact, he had the foresight to be an initial investor of Scuderia Ferrari and later became the team’s President.

Trossi knew where to get the best cars in the world and he purchased an SSK when it was a sports car of choice. They were designed by Ferdinand Porsche and became known as White Elephants for their brute force. The series started with the 1927 Type 680 S and matured with the shortened 720 SSK. They had a brilliant racing career and were praised for their famous history. Only five original SSKs survive today and each is a ‘holy grail’ among car collectors.

30/12/2024

With the streamliner body of the W196, Mercedes-Benz surprised one more time the whole racing scene and presented with this perfect in form plate dress a completely new appearance at their return into Grand Prix racing after the war.
At the premiere race, which took place 1954 at the GP of France in Reims, Mercedes started with three Streamliners and achieved with Fangio at first place and Kling on 2nd a terrific double victory. From now on the Mercedes stars, J.M. Fangio at the top, Karl Kling, Hans Herrmann and Stirling Moss celebrated with the Streamliner and also the parallel used W196 Monoposto (free wheels version) one success after the other. Fangio achieved in 1954 and 1955 his 2nd and 3rd F1 World Championship driving for Mercedes-Benz. Just like in the first race in Reims, also in the last one of the 1955 season, Fangio won with a streamlined W196 the race for Mercedes-Benz. After two years, this was the last start for the W196. Mercedes-Benz retired from the Formula 1 again.

The Green Hell has a habit of chewing up and spitting out anyone who dares to set rubber to asphalt. Twisting, fast, blind curves often shrouded in fog and mist have bested even the most skilled drivers and most capable cars. A mere 1,500 miles south in the warmer, drier, and friendlier climes along the coast of Portugal sits another, less-famous, smaller track that shares similar undulating, blind curves. It’s exactly the kind of circuit that Mercedes-AMG developed the 2018 AMG GT R for, and this is where the spearhead of the AMG brand shows its mettle.
