The Ravana Falls are located in the misty mountains of Ella, Sri Lanka along the road. The water gushes down a height of 25 meters fallen from an oval concave rock. Ravana Falls is a 3-tier cascading waterfall, creating rock pools along its way down. During the wet season the Ravana Falls takes the form of a drooping areca flower, but its wide size is reduced dramatically during the dry season.

ජෛවවිවිධත්වයේ ප්‍රතිමූර්තිය බඳු දොතළුගල වන අරණ
සුප්‍රකට සුළං කපොල්ල, ‘කොබර්ට්‌ස්‌ හැප්’ නොහොත් ‘අට්‌ටලමෙට්‌ටුව’ පසුකර තවත් කිලෝමීටර් 5-6 ක්‌ පමණ හුන්නස්‌ගිරිය දෙසට ගිය විට ඩීන්ස්‌ටන්හි නකල්ස්‌ සංරක්‌ෂණ මධ්‍යස්‌ථානය හමුවේ. එය වන සංරක්‍ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව යටතේ පාලනය වන්නකි. මහනුවර දිස්‌ත්‍රික්‌කයට අයත් දුම්බර වනපෙතේ සංරක්‍ෂණ කටයුතු අයත් වන්නේ එයටය.
නකල්ස්‌ සංරක්‌ෂණ මධ්‍යස්‌ථානය පවතින ස්‌ථානයේ සිට තවත් වැදගත් ආකර්ෂණීය ස්‌ථාන දෙකකට ළඟා විය හැකිය. ඒ ඩීන්ස්‌ටන්හි කුඩා ලෝකාන්තය හා දෝතළුගල (මිනිසා සහ ජෛවගෝල) රක්‌ෂිතයයි. මෙම දෝතළුගල යනු ජෛව විවිධත්වයෙන් අතිශය පොහොසත් වලාකුළු වනාන්තර ආකාරය සහිත කාලගුණික රක්‌ෂිත කලාපයක්‌ද වේ. එසේම මෙම කඳු මුදුන දක්‌වා වන මං පෙතක්‌ද වන සංරක්‍ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මගින් පවත්වාගෙන යනු ලබයි. මෙම වනමං පෙතට සමගාමීව මහනුවර නකල්ස්‌ අඩවියේ වන සංරක්‍ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ කඳවුරු බිමද පවත්වාගෙන යයි. එය හඳුන්වන්නේ ඩීන්ස්‌ටන් දෝතළුගල කඳවුරු බිම ලෙසිනි.කොළඹ වන සංරක්‍ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ සංචාරක නිවහන් වෙන්කර ගන්නා අංශයෙන් කලින් වෙන්කරවා ගත් පරිදි දෝතළුගල කඳවුරු බිමට අප ගියේ ඩීන්ස්‌ටන් මධ්‍යස්‌ථානයේ නිලධාරීන්ගේ අනුදැනුම මත, එහි කඳවුරු සහකරුවකුගේද සහාය ඇතිවය. මධ්‍යස්‌ථානයේ සිට මේ දක්‌වා කිලෝමීටරයක තරම්වත් දුරක්‌ ඇත. දෝතළුගල කඳු පාමුල අතිශය රමණීය භූමි ප්‍රදේශයක පිහිටා ඇති මෙම කඳවුරු බිම, එම කටයුත්තට මනාව ගැලපෙන තැනකි. එහි ගැහැනු පිරිමි දෙකොටසකට වශයෙන් හෝ කණ්‌ඩායම් දෙකක්‌ බෙදී ඉන්නට හැකි පරිදි සැකසුනු ස්‌ථිර කුඩා ගොඩනැඟිල්ලක්‌ තිබේ. එසේම ඒ සඳහා මුළුතැන්ගෙයක්‌ හා වැසිකිලි පද්ධතියක්‌ද ඇත. මෙම සංකීර්ණයේ පහසුවෙන් දස දෙනකුට නවාතැන් ඇති අතර, ආහාර පිළියෙල කර ගැනීමටද පහසුකම් ඇත. ඊට වැඩිමනත්ව කූඩාරම් ප්‍රියකරන්නන් සඳහා වෙනම කඳවුරු බිමක්‌ද එහි ඇත.කූඩාරම් 2-3 ක්‌ අටවා ගැනීමට සැකසූ අත්තිවාරම් එහි තිබේ. එසේ වන විට අප ගෙන යන කූඩාරමක්‌ දෙකක්‌ මේ මත අටවා අපූරු අත්දැකීමක්‌ විඳගත හැකිය. මෙම කඳවුරු බිමට හාත්පස දුම්බර කඳුවැටිය මනාව දර්ශනය වේ. පුළුල් දර්ශන තලයක්‌ ඇති මෙහි සිට අප පෙර දැක්‌වූ කුඩා ලෝකාන්තයේ ඉම සහ එතනින්ම ඈතට දිවෙන මහියංගන මායිමේ යහන්ගල කඳුතීරයද ගැරඬිඇල්ල ප්‍රදේශයද මනාව දර්ශනය වේ.
මෙම කූඩාරම් බිමත් සමඟම තවත් පහළට ඇති වන මං පෙතේ ඇවිද ගිය විට දොaතළුගල දියඇල්ල සමඟ නාන මංකඩ හමුවේ. තරමක්‌ ලොකු ගල්බේසමක්‌ තනා මෙහි ජලය රැස්‌කරගන්නා අතර, එය දිය නෑම සඳහා සැකසූ ස්‌ථානයයි. එම නිසා කඳවුරු බිමට ‘පරිසර ලෝලීන්ට’ මේ සියලු පහසුකම් දොaතලළුගල කඳවුරු බිමේදී ලැබේ. එසේම මෙම දිය ඇල්ලට පහළ වනාන්තර කොටස අපූරු කුරුලු නිරීක්‍ෂණ කේන්ද්‍රස්‌ථානයකි.ඒ සඳහාද වනමං පෙත් ඉදිකර ඇති අතර තැනෙක කුරුලු නිරීක්‍ෂණ අට්‌ටාලද තනා ඇත. එබැවින් දොaතළුගල කඳවුරු බිම පරිසරයේ අපූරුව විඳින පරිසර ලෝලීන්ට කදිම නවාතැන් පළක්‌ ලෙස හඳුන්වාදීම නිවැරැදිය වැඩිමනත් ලෙස සඳහන් කළ හොත් නකල්ස්‌ සංරක්‌ෂිත මධ්‍යස්‌ථානයේද සංචාරකයන් සඳහා නවාතැන් පහසුකම් තිබේ. එහිද දස දෙනකුට පමණ නවාතැන් පහසුකම් ඇත. කඳවුරු බිමට යා නොහැකි අයට මෙහිද නවාතැන් ගන්නට නම් එයද කලින් වෙන්කරවා ගත යුතුය.
