Adam's Peak/ශ්‍රී පාදය 🇱🇰

Adam's Peak is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall conical mountain located in central Sri Lanka. It is well known for the Sri Pada (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී පාදය),"sacred footprint", a 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit, which in Buddhist tradition is held to be the footprint of the Buddha, in Hindu tradition that of Hanuman or Shiva (Tamil: சிவனொளிபாதமலை, lit. 'Sivanolipaathamalai'),"Mountain of Shiva's Light", and in some Islamic and Christian traditions that of Adam, or that of St. Thomas.

Nine Arch Bridge, Demodara


The Nine Arches Bridge also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The 1923 report titled "Construction of a Concrete Railway Viaduct in Ceylon" published by the Engineering Association of Ceylon has details of all the records including the plans and drawings.

It is located in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. The surrounding area has seen a steady increase of tourism due to the bridge's architectural ingenuity and the profuse greenery in the nearby hillsides

Puna falls is a beautiful waterfall you will come across in kandy nuwaraeliya road near the village ramboda. This waterfall is not famous as the ramboda falls because of the difficult route leading to this beautiful destination. Those who are planning to visit this waterfall, it would be better to ask guidance from a villager. The route is extremely slippery and precautions should be taken for leech attacks😅

Ancient City of Polonnaruwa Sri Lanka

The world constantly tries making me something I'm not,
But I persistently try to be specifically myself to the dot!

That's what I like about ancient structures the most and furthermore my art always helps me to study them minutely. Just like this circular stone shrined Vatadage of Pollonaruwa, whose purpose to protect the small stupa that had an important relic, the Buddha statue enshrined in them in Srilankan culture. It was here the sacred tooth relic of Buddha was housed before it was moved to Kandy.
In a way I visualised it in my own way, like the vatadage is the world surrounding me and I need to be guarding myself for being myself.

Well, capturing the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa was sheer delight. It was raining when I roaming around but then after the rains this so very charming sun of mine did lavish beautiful colours in the sky, apparently making me ecstatic & made my day.
