Hajj-ul-Ifrad, also known as the Isolated Hajj, is a unique type of Hajj that is performed by the residents of Miqat, Haram, and Jeddah. Unlike other forms of Hajj, such as Hajj-ul-Tamattu and Hajj-ul-Qiran, pilgrims who perform Hajj-ul-Ifrad do not combine their Hajj with Umrah.

During Hajj-ul-Ifrad, the pilgrims wear ihram only to perform Hajj and not for Umrah. This makes Hajj-ul-Ifrad an ideal choice for those who have already performed Umrah in the same year or for those who reside within the Miqat boundaries.

May Allah accept our Hajj and grant us the opportunity to perform it with sincerity and devotion.

I heard Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) narrating to us that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to a woman of the Ansar (Ibn Abbas had mentioned her name but I have forgotten it): 'What has prevented you that you do not perform Hajj along with us?

She said: We have only two camels for carrying water. One of the camels has been taken by my husband and my son for performing Hajj and one has been left for us for carrying water, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: So when the month of Ramadan come, perform Umra, for'Umra in this (month) is equal to Hajj (in reward).

– Sahih Muslim 1255b, Book 15, Hadith 244

🔎 A: Haj and Umrah are two types of Islamic pilgrimages to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Haj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is mandatory for all able-bodied Muslims at least once in their lifetime, while Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage that can be performed at any time of the year.
