One of the many locations where you can see fisherman, who have been doing so since World War II, lure their catch atop bamboo stilts next to the coast is Koggala Beach. The local fishermen will gladly give up their seat and share their fishing lines and bait with you for a tip if you would like to give it a try. If you want to brag about a catch, go fishing earlier in the day because that's when fish bite the greatest!
