Paradiso Travels is a small family travel business dedicated to providing travellers with the ultimate bespoke holiday. Our aim is to create the holiday of a lifetime for each of our clients by combining a truly personal and impeccable service with comfort along the way. Beaches

Renowned for its golden beaches, the island of Sri Lanka draws thousands of tourists to its quaint coastal towns, each

year. Fringed by palm trees, soft sand and azulene waters, these beaches make an ideal holiday for those wanting to soak up some sun and bathe in the picturesque Indian Ocean. Thriving tourist hotspots, towns such as Negombo in the west, Trincomalee and Arugam Bay in the east, and Bentota, Galle, Unawatuna and Mirissa in the south, are perfect destinations for any type of getaway, from budget-friendly to luxury, and boast many resorts, guesthouses, restaurants and fun activities. Cultural

Sri Lanka is home to some of South Asia’s most intriguing religious and cultural attractions, featuring elaborate art and architecture, and spectacular festivals, for those who want to learn more about the island’s long and fascinating history, and rich cultural heritage. Historical sites such as Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla, once home to flourishing ancient kingdoms, still retain many relics and artefacts of bygone eras. The famous rock fortress of Sigiriya, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and the Esala Perahera of Kandy, are places that one should consider visiting. An island of diverse communities, there are many religious festivals that take place year around, from Vesak for Buddhists, Nallur Festival for Hindus and Madhu Festival for Catholics. Wildlife and Adventure

Sri Lanka’s wildlife ranges from wild elephants and leopards to sea turtles and a vast variety of birds. Sri Lanka’s Yala National Park is known to have the highest density of leopards in the world. Wild safari parks and bird sanctuaries, particularly in the southern and central zones, offer the best opportunities to see animals in their natural habitat. In terms of adventure Sri Lanka offers an exciting journey through wonderful landscapes and will satisfy those wanting something more than just a beach holiday. Camp in the wilderness, trek through villages and mountains, climb a sacred mountain at night or raft down the white water rapids of Kithulgala. Hill Country

A home away from home for the British Colony, the hills of Sri Lanka offer a cooler, more relaxed factor to the Sri Lankan experience. Pleasant temperatures, colonial buildings and warm food are what make the Sri Lankan hills a jewel is this diverse island. The town of Nuwara Eliya still retains much of its British colonial charm earning the name Little England. Nestled 2000 kilometres above sea level it is one of the coldest regions of Sri Lanka with the annual average temperature or 20 degrees Celsius. Sit inside a colonial home and drink the finest tea considered to be the best in the world. Surrounding this beautiful, peaceful town are Ella, Bandarawela and Haputale all cities that are set against backdrops of tea estates. For the adventurous a trek through Horton Plains and Worlds End is highly recommended.

“Sri Lanka in two weeks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2014

We recently booked our two week family holiday around Sri Lanka with Sara at Paradiso Travels. We struggled to find a company in Australia that wasn't priced way above our budget. I found Sara online and from start to finish she was flexible, responsive, knowledgeable and not only answered any of our questions quickly she prepared an itinerary to suit our budget and ensured we had an awesome journey with Waruna, our amazing driver/guide who we got to know very well during our time together. He was able to answer any question we had about Sri Lankan history, politics, Buddhism, animals and anything else we could think of asking him about his awesome country. He was extremely patient whilst waiting for us to absorb every square inch of every sight we visited and always greeted us with a smile! We also got a wave from his mum & family as we drove past. Waruna is an asset to Sara and Paradiso! Thank you Sara and Waruna for making our holiday more than memorable we would tell anyone from 'down under' to book their Sri Lankan holiday with Paradiso Travels.
