Nature Walk in a Colombo Urban Wetland with Laura and her child from the 🇬🇧 🤠🌿💚

Beddagana Wetland Park consists of the natural water ponds and marshy areas with seasonally flooded grasslands and scattered scrubs 🌿🌳
The site is located close to the Parliament complex adjoining Diyawanna oya with very high scenic value and biodiversity 🐿🐦🦜🌿🐊🐢🦋🌴
This area comes under a Wildlife Sanctuary declared by the Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC) in 1984. Presently, the Urban Development Authority is playing a major role in managing the site 😇

Visit to a Prehistoric Cave 🤠
Exploring the Belilena , which is located about 9kms from the Town. Evidence of prehistoric human presence as early as 33,000 years ago was recorded at the site. The skeletal remains of ten individuals were discovered by Prof.P.E.P.Deraniyagala, who attributed them to Balangoda Man 💚
