7 years ago this month, my life was furthest from this point than it ever could be. I was working for a (the best) travel company, travelling through the Italian Alps in the dead of winter, into Switzerland and via Leichtanstein into Austria and Germany.

That's a trip I would still recommend to anyone really wanting to immerse yourself in Western Europe. Take your time in each place, spend 3 or 4 nights and take it in....

It's a trip That's perfect in the summer but lovely in the winter too (as pictured.)

We did it! The Kulatunga family pulled off a destination wedding in Knuckles on the road to the remotest village in Sri Lanka! All for our one and only brother, Mithra Kulatunga and our favourite German Maren Reitemeier. Love you guys so much!

Dating back to 528BC, Girihanduseya is the oldest existing Buddhist temple in the world! It was actually built while the Buddha was still alive!
