ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අලි - මිනිස් ගැටුම විසඳීමේ සංයුක්ත සැලැස්මක් සඳහා යෝ ජනාවලියක් පසුගියදා (දෙසැ. 09) දින පරිසර අමාත්‍යාංශයේ දී පැවති රැස්වීමේ දී අප විසින් නව රජයේ පරිසර අමාත්‍ය සහ නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරුන් වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කළා. කෙසේ වුවත් මෙම යෝජනා කිසිවක් ක්‍රියාත්මක නොකර දශක ගණනක් තිස්සේ අලි - මිනිස් ගැටුම විසඳීම සඳහා යොදා ගත් අසාර්ථක බව නැවත නැවත ඔප්පු වී ඇති අලි පලවා හැරීමේ ක්‍රමය ඔවුන් තෝරාගෙන තිබෙනවා.

අලි වෙඩි දමා අලි පලවාහැරීම අසාර්ථක ක්‍රමයක් පමණත් නොව අලි - මිනිස් ගැටුම ඉදිරියේ දී උත්සන්න කරවන ක්‍රියාවලියක් බව අපි අවධාරණය කරන්න කැමතියි. විශාල වශයෙන් අලි වෙඩි භාවිතා කරමින් කෲර ලෙස අලි ඇතුන් භීතියට පත් කරවමින් සිදු කරන වත්මන් අලි පලවාහැරීමේ ක්‍රමය විසින් අලි ඇතුන් සහ පැටවුන් බිහිරි බවට පත් කරවන අතර, මිනිසුන්ට එරෙහි ප්‍රචණ්ඩ අලි පරපුරක් ද බිහිවනු නොඅනුමානය.

අප යෝජනා කරන්නේ අලි - මිනිස් ගැටුමේ අවසන් ඵලයන්ට ප්‍රතිකර්ම (End-of-pipe Solutions) සහ තාවකාලික (Stopgap Solusions) විසඳුම් වෙනුවට එහි මූල හේතූන් (Rootcause Solutions) සඳහා තිරසාර විසඳුම් සෙවීම මෙම දැවෙන ප්‍රශ්නව විසඳීමේ සාර්ථක ක්‍රමය බවයි.

අඹන්පොල සහ ගල්ගමුව අවට ප්‍රදේශ වල අලි -මිනිස් ගැටුමට විසඳුමක් වශයෙන් තේක්ක වත්ත හෙවත් ගැටදිවුල රක්ෂිතයේ තේක්ක දැව කපා ඉවත් කල ප්‍රදේශයන්හි දේශීය ශාක සිටුවා නැවතත් ස්වාභාවික වනාන්තරයක් ප්‍රතිස්ථාපනය කිරමේ ව්‍යාපෘතියේ පළමු අදියරේ වැඩකටයුතු පසුගිය 18, 19, 20 යන දින වලදී ආරම්භ විය.

කලාවැව ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානය සිට විල්පත්තුව දක්වා වැටී ඇති වන අලින්ගේ සංක්‍රමණික මාර්ගයේ මධ්‍යයයට වන්නට පිහිටා ඇති මෙම රක්ෂිත වනාන්තරය තුල වසරේ විවිධ කාල වලදී අලි ඇතුන් විශාල ප්‍රමාණයක් ලැගුම් ගන්නා අතර, ගල්ගමුව අවට ජීවත් වන අලි ඇතුන් රැසක්ද මෙම රක්ෂිතය තම වාසභූමිය ලෙස භාවිත කරයි. මෙම තේක්ක වත්ත රක්ෂිතය තුල අලි ඇතුන්ට හිතකර ආහාර සහ ජල මූලාශ්‍ර නොමැත. එබැවින් එම අලි ඇතුන් ආහාර සහ ජලය සොයා අවට ගම්මාන වෙත රාත්‍රී කාලයේදී ගමන් කිරීම නිසා එම ප්‍රදේශයේ අලි - මිනිස් ගැටුම උත්සන්න වී තිබේ.

මෙයට එක් විසඳුමක් වශයෙන් ප්‍රදේශවාසී ගොවි ජනතාවගේ, සහ පරිසරවේදීන්ගේ ඉල්ලීම පරිදි තේක්ක වත්ත තුල දැව කපා හෙලූ කොටස් වල වන සතුන්ට ආහාර සැපයෙන දේශීය ශාක සිටුවා ස්වාභාවික වනාන්තරයක් ලෙස එය ප්‍රතිස්ථාපනය කිරීම සඳහා සුරකිමු ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංවිධානය, නේචර් නර්ඩ්ස් සංවිධානය, බොඩිලයින් ආයතනය, බෙල්ලන මහා විද්‍යාලයේ සිසුන්, ප්‍රදේශවාසීන් ඇතුලු පිරිස කටයුතු ආරම්භ කරන ලදි. මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතියේ අධීක්ෂණය සහ මගපෙන්වීම වන සංරක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් සිදු කරයි.
