අවුරුදු 6ක් තනියම එංගලන්තයට වෙලා. බබාලා තුන්දෙනයි.. වයිෆුයි වෙනුවෙන් මහන්සි වෙලා.. එහේ ජීවත් වෙන්න අලුත් ලෝකයක් හදලා.. අවුරුදු හයකට පස්සේ ආපහු ඉන්දියාවට ඇවිත්.. එයාගේ ආදරනීයයන් එයාගේ ළඟට එක්කන් යන්න පිටත් වෙච්ච.. මේ විදියට හිනා වෙලා අලුත් ජීවිතය හොයන් ඉගිල්ලිච්ච ගමන.. විනාඩි ගාණකින් අළු වෙලා යයි කියලා හීනෙකින්වත් හිතන්න නැතුව ඇති.

අපේ ජීවිතේ කවදා කොහොම කොතනක ඉවර වෙයිද කියලා නොදන්න අපි.. ජීවත් වෙලා ඉන්න හැම දවසක්ම සතුටින් හිනාවෙලා ඉමු. මේ ජීවිතේ අරගෙන යන්න කිසිම දෙයක් නෑ

Born on March 20, 2003, in the vibrant coastal city of Phuket, Thailand, Opal Suchata Chuangsri was raised in the world of the hospitality industry as the daughter of hoteliers. A true global citizen from the start, she’s trilingual, effortlessly speaking Thai, English, and Chinese. Her academic journey began at the prestigious Triam Udom Suksa School in Bangkok, where she developed her passion for languages and international culture through her studies of Chinese. Who is Robert Prevost, the new Pope Leo XIV? ✝️✝️✝️

Robert Prevost, 69, will be the 267th occupant of the throne of St Peter and he will be known as Leo XIV.

He is the first American to fill the role of pope, although he is considered as much a cardinal from Latin America because of the many years he spent as a missionary in Peru, before becoming a bishop there.

Born in Chicago in 1955 to parents of Spanish and Franco-Italian descent, Prevost served as an altar boy and was ordained as a priest in 1982. Although he moved to Peru three years later, he returned regularly to the US to serve as a pastor and a prior in his home city.

He has Peruvian nationality and is fondly remembered as a figure who worked with marginalised communities and helped build bridges.

He spent 10 years as a local parish pastor and as a teacher at a seminary in Trujillo in north-western Peru. In 2014, Francis made him Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru.

He is well known to cardinals because of his high-profile role as prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops in Latin America which has the important task of selecting and supervising bishops.

He became archbishop in January 2023 and within a few months Francis made him a cardinal.

As 80% of the cardinals who took part in the conclave were appointed by Francis, it is not all that surprising that someone like Prevost was elected.
