What do you do when your flight gets cancelled? It’s a situation nobody wants to be in, but it can happen. Whether due to weather, technical issues, overbooking, airlines cancel thousands of flights every year & this can lead to a lot of stress & inconvenience.

Always check your flight status on your airline's website in the 24 hours leading up to your flight. When you're at the airport, check the departures board for the latest information.

If your flight is cancelled, don't panic — your airline will likely automatically rebook you on the next available flight. However there's a chance that might not happen or if it does, the new flight may not work with your schedule. Head to your airline's help desk — unfortunately, there will likely be dozens, if not hundreds of people in that queue. And don't forget about your checked luggage — if you've checked luggage onto a cancelled flight, you'll want to speak to an airline representative about how to collect your bag.

Travel agents can help you in case of flight cancellation by assisting you in finding alternative flights, rebooking your itinerary, & helping you navigate the process of obtaining a refund or compensation from the airline. They can also help you with any paperwork or documentation that may be required, such as cancellation or change fees, & can help you with any other travel-related issues that may arise as a result of the flight cancellation.

If your flight is cancelled, call us right away so that we can get started planning an alternative route or provide you with other options to make sure your journey remains hassle-free!

Rules concerning travelling with liquids are not referring to medicines. Onboard you can take pills, syrups, ampules with injections, drops, balms & other medicines that you need during the journey, even if it exceeds 100ml. It also applies to medicines sold without a prescription.

Onboard you can also take all medical articles that are necessary during the journey, including injections, insulin pumps, glucometers, inhalers & liquid dietary foodstuffs. People that use crutches or dentures also can take them on board.

During personal security checks, you have to prepare for checking all of your medical accessories & medicines. Always carry medicines & medical equipment (needles, syringes and so on) in their original, correctly-labelled packages. Though it isn’t always required, it’s better to have on you supporting documents from your doctor (example, a letter or a copy of your prescription) to allow you to seamlessly get through security checks. As well as helping you avoid any problems at customs, this will be useful if you need medical help while you're away. It may be worth getting the information translated into the language of the country that you're visiting.

Also consider packing some extra medicine in your suitcase in case you lose your hand luggage, & check that the expiry dates of your medicines will be valid for the duration of your visit abroad.

If your prescribed medicines contain drugs that are controlled under the law of the country you’re travelling to, you may need a personal licence to take controlled medicines abroad.

Inform the airline or your travel agent of your medical condition or dietary restriction well ahead of your scheduled travel in order for them to make necessary arrangements to accommodate your needs.
