The amazing ’s Peak (ශ්‍රී පාද) is Sri Lanka’s fourth highest mountain at 2,244m and is located 70 Km from

Adam’s Peak or the Sri Pada is an important pilgrim site. Buddhist believe the impression on the summit is the footprint of lord Buddha himself. Though it takes around 5 hours to reach the peak by foot, devotees of many religions climb the mountain daily to invoke blessings. The mountain is also named as Samanala Kanda or Butterfly Mountain.

If you are driving up to Horton Plains, you would get a glimpse of this farm en route! Located around 17 kms from Nuwara Eliya, Ambewela is fondly known as Little New Zealand. The Ambewela Farm has an acreage of nearly 150 and is reputed for its dairy products having its own line of products sold all across the island.

The farm is usually open from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. every day.

Aberdeen Waterfall is situated in Ginigathena in the Nuwara Eliya district. It stands at a height of 98 meters. The waterfall is the 18th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. Folklore says that there is a tunnel between Aberdeen falls and the neighboring Laxapana waterfall.

Aberdeen Waterfall is fed by the stream named Kehelgamu Oya which is a major tributary of the Kelani River. The waterfall is named after Aberdeen which is the third largest city in Scotland and the capital of Aberdeenshire.

Bomburu Ella falls (also known as Perawella falls) is the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is 50 meters high and is situated in Sita Eliya Kandapola forest reserve. This beauty belongs to both Nuwara Eliya and Badulla districts. Some consider this beauty as the most beautiful waterfall in Sri Lanka, making this a must-visit destination for every traveller.
