කළු දිය පොකුණ - Kaludiya Pokuna Natural Black Water Pond 😍🌏
මිහින්තලේ බටහිර බෑවුම් පාමුල පිහිටා ඇති එය පොකුණු අතරින් විශාලතම පොකුණ වේ. බොහෝ විද්වතුන් විශ්වාස කරන්නේ කළුදිය පොකුණ යනු IV වන මහින්දගේ පුවරු වල සඳහන් වන පුරාණ පොරෝදිනි පොකුණ විය හැකි බවයි. කළු දිය පොකුණ, වචනාර්ථයෙන් පරිවර්තනය කර ඇත්තේ කළු ජල තටාකය යන්නයි.
Situated at the foot of the western slopes of Mihintale it is the largest of the ponds. Most experts believe that Kaludiya Pokuna may probably be the ancient Porodini Pokuna mentioned in the tablets of Mahinda IV. Kalu-diya Pokuna, literally translated means the black water pool.

රුවන්වැලි සෑය - Ruwanweli Maha Seya 🌏😍
මීට වසර 2500 කට පමණ පෙර ඉදිකරන ලද, බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ දේශනාවන්ට අනුව, රුවන්වැලි සෑය නොහොත් රන් දූවිලි චෛත්‍යය, පැරණි ලෝකයේ විශාලතම ව්‍යුහයන්ගෙන් එකකි, මීටර් 290 ක වට ප්‍රමාණයකින් යුත් මීටර් 103 ක් උස මෙම සෑරදුන් අනුරාධපුරයේ වැඩසිටී.
Built around 2500 years ago, according to the teachings of the Lord Buddha, the Ruwanveli Saya or Golden Dust Pagoda is one of the largest structures in the ancient world, standing 103 meters high with a circumference of 290 meters and standing in Anuradhapura.

මෙය රිටිගල - බෞද්ධ ආරාමිකයන්ගේ පුරාණ පසුබැසීමකි - එහිදී ක්‍රි.පූ පළමු සියවසේ ආරාමයක නටබුන් ගස් පිටුපසින් සහ රිටිගල වනාන්තරයේ ඝන යටි පඳුරු පිටුපසින් වැසී ඇත. එහි උස සහ දේශීය කාලගුණ රටා අවට තැනිතලාවේ සිට ක්ෂුද්‍ර දේශගුණික වෙනසක් ඇති කරයි.
This is Ritigala– an ancient retreat of Buddhist hermits – where the ruins of a first-century BC monastery are veiled behind trees and the thick undergrowth of the jungles of Ritigala. Its height and the local weather patterns create a microclimate difference from that of the surrounding plains.

Wilpattu is the largest and one of the oldest national parks in Sri Lanka. Wilpattu is world-renowned for its leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya) population.

අභයගිරිය ස්ථූපය - Abayagiri Sthupaya 😍🌏
එය අද දිවයිනේ දෙවන විශාලතම ස්ථූපය වේ. 5 වන ශතවර්ෂයේ සංචාරක චීන භික්ෂුවක් වන ෆා- හසීන්ගේ විස්තර වලට අනුව, මෙම ස්ථූපය අඩි 400 (මීටර් 122) උසකින් යුක්ත වූ අතර රන් හා රිදී වලින් සරසා ඇති අතර සියලු වර්ගවල ස්වර්ණාභරණ වලින් සරසා තිබුණි.
It is the second-largest stupa on the island today. According to the 5th-century traveler Chinese monk Fa-Hsien's descriptions, this stupa was 400 feet (122 meters) in height and was decorated with gold and silver and studded with all kinds of jewels.

සමාධි බුදුන් - Samadi Budupilima Wahanse 🥰🌏
රම්බොඩගල්ල සමාධි බුදුන් සජීවී පර්වතයේ නෙළා ඇත්තේ මුත්තු මුත්තයියා සථපති ප්‍රමුඛ ඉන්දීය ශිල්පීන් විසිනි. එය අඩි 67.5 ක් උස වන අතර වසර 13 කින් නිම කරන ලදී.
Samadhi Buddha at Rambodagalla was carved in live rock by Indian craftsmen led by Muthu Muthiah Sathapathi. It is 67.5 feet tall and was completed in 13 years.

ඉසුරුමුණිය - Isurumuni Wiharaya 😍🌏
ඉසුරුමුණිය යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අනුරාධපුරයේ තිසා වැව අසල පිහිටි බෞද්ධ විහාරයකි. මෙම විහාරයේ විශේෂ අවධානයට ලක් වූ කැටයම් හතරක් ඇත. ඒ ඉසුරුමුණිය පෙම්වතුන්, අලි පොකුණ සහ රාජකීය පවුලයි.
Isurumuniya is a Buddhist temple situated near to the Tissa Wewa in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. There are four carvings of special interest in this Vihara. They are the Isurumuniya Lovers, Elephant Pond and The Royal Family.

මිහින්තලය යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අනුරාධපුරයට ආසන්න කඳු මුදුනකි. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ බුද්ධාගමේ පැවැත්ම ආරම්භ කළ මිහිදු මහ රහතන් වහන්සේ සහ දේවානම්පියතිස්ස රජු අතර හමුවක් සිදුවූ ස්ථානය මිහින්තලයි.
Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.

Sigiriya, also called Lion Rock or Lion Mountain, site in central Sri Lanka consisting of the ruins of an ancient stronghold that was built in the late 5th century ce on a remarkable monolithic rock pillar.

ජේතවනාරාමය - Jethawanaaramaya 😍🌏
මහසෙන් රජු විසින් සංකල්පනය කරන ලද අඩි 400 පුරාවිද්‍යා ආශ්චර්යයක් වන ජේතවනාරාමය ඇත්තෙන්ම විශිෂ්ටයි. එය මහා ආරාමයක නටබුන් මැද පිහිටා ඇති අතර එය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විශාලතම ස්ථූපය වේ. මිහිඳු මාහිමියන් ආදාහනය කළ ස්ථූපය ඉදිකරන ලද බව විශ්වාස කෙරේ.
A 400ft archaeological marvel conceptualised by King Mahasen, Jethawanaramaya is truly magnificent. It sits in the midst of the ruins of a great monastery and is the largest stupa in Sri Lanka. It is believed that the stupa was built where Mahinda Maha Thero was cremated.

ථූපාරාමය - Thuparamaya 🌏😍
ථූපාරාමය අනුරාධපුර නගරයේ පිහිටා ඇත. මිහිඳු මහරහතන් වහන්සේ විසින් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට බුදුදහම හඳුන්වාදීමෙන් පසු මෙරට ඉදිකළ පළමු ස්තූපය මෙයයි. මෙම ස්තූපය දේවම්නම්පියතිස්ස රජුගේ කාලයේ ඉදිකරන ලද්දකි. අද මෙම ස්තූපයේ නටබුන් අක්කර 3 ½ කට ආසන්න ප්‍රමාණයක් ආවරණය කරයි.
Thuparamaya is situated in the city of Anuradhapura. This is the first stupa to be built in the country after the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka by Arahat Mahinda Thero. The stupa was built during the time of king Devamnampiyatissa. Today the ruins of this stupa cover about nearly 3 ½ acres.

Lovamahapaya is a building situated between Ruwanweliseya and Sri Mahabodiya in the ancient city of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It is also known as the Brazen Palace or Lohaprasadaya because the roof was covered with bronze tiles.

නුවරගල කියන්නේ අම්පාරේ දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ තියෙන පුරාණ බලකොටුවක් සහ ආරාමයක්. මෙතන කඳු මුදුනට යන්න ගල්වලින් හදපු පාරක් තියෙනවා. ඒ වගේමයි මෙතන තියෙන ගුහාවේ 150 කට විතර ලේසියෙන්ම ඉන්න පුලුවන්. අලි ඉන්න මහ කැලේ මැදින් ගිහින් නුවරගල කඳු මුදුනේ සුන්දර කඳවුරු රාත්‍රීයක් ගත කරන්න වාසනාවත් ඕන.
නුවරගල කියන්නේ සද්ධාතිස්ස රජතුමාගේ අඩවිය කියලත් කියනවා. තව එක එක නොයෙකුත් කතා ගොඩක් තියනවා.

Nuwaragala: Ancient Fort and Monastery Amidst Ampara
In Ampara district, you'll find Nuwaragala, an old fort and monastery. To reach the mountaintop, there's a stone road you can walk on. Inside the mountain, there's a cave where about 150 people can fit comfortably.
It takes some luck to get through the dense jungle where elephants live. But if you make it, you can enjoy camping on top of Nuwaragala hill under the stars.
People say King Saddhatissa might have been here. There are other stories too about this intriguing place.
