Intimate Jungle Bungalows - just 10 min. to the beach
Our two private bungalows, Ameliya and Emmaly, are recent constructions that have been finished with antique pieces and local, reclaimed materials - so you will enjoy all the creature comforts a modern, boutique accommodation provides while also being able to take in and appreciate the history and architectural details of Sri Lankan design.
Our village, Wanchawala, sits up just above the hustle and bustle of the popular Unawatuna Beach - with us you are far enough away to surround yourself in the peace and tranquility of our jungle garden, yet close enough to jump into all that Unawatuna and other nearby beaches have to offer.
The bungalows are nestled into a small hillside, on the edge of the jungle and a lush paddy field. Wildlife abounds here and the private terraces place you right into the treetop canopy.
Sit back, relax and take in the diverse jungle life moving around you - a troop of monkeys swinging by at dawn and dusk...an array of tropical birds from sunny yellows and ruby reds to iridescent blues, dazzling you with their plumage and songs...playful squirrels scurrying to and fro...and a porcupine or two foraging down below.
