THE HONEY EXPERIENCE -

Located north of Batticaloa, in the division of Vakarai, is the village of Mathurankerni, which is 45 minutes away from the coastal town of Pasikudah. Vakarai is known for its wild honey and this is also one of the most common ways the indigenous Vedda community make their living. This experience will provide the guest with an up, close and personal feel into the way Vedda people live on a daily basis, learn about the flora and fauna found in these parts of Batticaloa and gain firsthand knowledge into how the live honey collection process is performed.
