Distance: 288.3 kilometers
Start Point: Morifi (Mohale’s Hoek) – Lesotho’s lowest point at 1,389 meters above sea level
End Point: Thabana-Ntlenyane (Mokhotlong) – Lesotho’s highest mountain peak at 3,482 meters above sea level

Why:

Here are a reasons.

It would be good for everyone
1. To see the in a country in the world, which is the trailhead, the starting point. With its lowest point at , Lesotho is the only country in the whole world that is entirely above 1000m.
2. To understand why Lesotho is the .
3. To wirness the Confluence of and Rivers (two of Lesotho's 🇱🇸 top 3 longest rivers)
4. To experience a special area where two of the ecological zones meet, Lowlands and .
5. To see where forms a border between Lesotho and South Africa.
6. To see here Senqu River forms a border between two South Africa's provincee, Eastern Cape and Free State, as soon as it leaves Lesotho, as it continues with its long journey to the Atlantic Ocean.
7. To enjoy wonders of nature; 🦕 footprints
8. To see where dinosaur 🦕 skeletons were found.
9. To cross river and to hear why it is called downstream, where A2 Road crosses it.
10. To have a beautiful view of plateau and the mountain range as it joins Range.
11. To see a glimpse of Thaba Putsoa Range, the southern part.
12. To know a little more about Lesotho just before celebration of its independence day + it's a day hike, so even those with busy schedules can participate.

We have given a dozen reasons why... and we know you'll come back more informed and certainly more excited

ALL these in one day!!

Open to all, including first-time hikers. No steep slopes, no obstacles. It is relatively flat. Lots of great stuff to enjoy
