Tai paprastaisiais kadagiais apaugęs Kauno marių šlaitas. Kadagių slėnio viršutinėje dalyje, ant skardžio krašto įrengtas pažintinis pėsčiųjų takas. Visas takas yra 1,3 km ilgio, tame tarpe – 501 m pakylėto lentinio tako. Už jo prasideda įprastas miško takelis, supamas prieš 50 metų pasodinto miško želdinių juostos. Take įrengtos apžvalgos aikštelės. Nuo tako atsiveria marių kraštovaizdis su natūralia augmenija apaugusiomis salomis bei pusiasaliais.

Rumšiškės – miestelis Kaišiadorių r. prie Kauno marių, Kauno marių regioniniame parke. Garsėja Lietuvos liaudies buities muziejumi. Stovi medinė Rumšiškių Šv. arkangelo Mykolo bažnyčia (pastatyta 1860 m., perkelta 1959 m. su varpine), Šv. Onos koplyčia (1840 m.), poeto Jono Aisčio muziejus. Vietovė minima nuo 1382 metų (kryžiuočių kelių aprašymuose, kuriuos parašė Vygandas Marburgietis, minimos kaip Rumsinker). 1503 m. minimas LDK Rumšiškių dvaras. 1557 m. minimas kaip miestelis. XIX a. miestelis augo dėl pro jį einančių Vilniaus–Kauno ir Kauno–Gardino kelių, čia gyveno nemažai pirklių, prekiavusių geležimi, miško medžiaga, druska, silkėmis. Be abejo, gyveno daug žydų, stovėjo sinagoga. 1944 m. miestelis sudegė, po gaisro teliko ~20 sodybų. Statant Kauno HE, iki 1960 m. Rumšiškės perkeltos į dabartinę vietą, o Senosios Rumšiškės liko Kauno marių dugne (miestelis užtvindant vietovę 1958–1959 m. perkeltas 2 km į šiaurės rytus, kur tuomet buvo Byliškės ir Vajakiškės). Paniro ir Rumšiškių piliakalnis. Iš senojo miestelio liko tik Rumšiškių bažnyčia kaip XVIII a. liaudies architektūros paminklas (po rąstą išardžius perkelta į naują vietą). Dabar bažnyčia stovi Rumšiškių miestelyje, prie Kauno marių ir Pravienos žiočių, ant viršutinės Nemuno terasos. Pirmoji bažnyčia Rumšiškėse pastatyta dar XV a. pradžioje.
