C'est la raison pour laquelle le guépard fait appel à ses jeunes ou son/ses frères afin d'éviter les bactéries 🐆🐆🐆
Cheetah diet mainly consists of small to medium-sized antelope such as springbok, impala, gazelle and blesbok. They have more sensitive stomach compared to other apex predators like lion, leopard and hyena, so they must consume fresh meat. They are not scavengers and won’t eat old or rotting meat.
The cheetahs in Ashia’s care get a diet that mimics that of a natural wild one. They feed purely on game meat (predominantly springbok and blesbok) and fast in between the 3-4 days of meals in spread out a week period.
Most of the cheetah at the Center have been resting their bellies for the past 2 days to digesting everything, as we feed skin, cartilage, bone, organs etc. The food-free days keep their bodily functions healthy and better prepares the cheetahs destined for release to acclimate them to natural feeding behaviours.
