Amidst the pandemic, violence against women and children remains to be rampant in the Philippines. Community quarantines have led to an increase in domestic violence. At present, the Philippines has the 3rd highest number of VAWC-related searches. Moreover, the country has the lowest age to determine statutory r**e among countries in Asia. S*x with a minor as young as 12 is NOT automatically considered r**e in the Philippines. However, there are existing initiatives which aim to end violence against women and children, including the petition by Child Rights Network (Link: bit.ly/ENDChildRape). Together, let’s STOP VIOLENCE and BREAK THE SILENCE!

Here’s the updated Gradual Flight Restart plan, as of June 17, 12NN.

All international flights remain cancelled until July 31, 2020. Meanwhile, domestic flights are on limited schedules. Details may be found here https://bit.ly/CEBflights_Jun19to30.

This is a developing situation. We may reduce or add flights depending on passenger demand, quarantine conditions and travel restrictions. We continue to work with national and local authorities on restarting flights.

Philippine Airlines will operate special flights between Manila and Toronto on May 23, 2020 (Saturday). The PR118 Manila-Toronto flight is allowed to carry only Canadian nationals and holders of Canadian permanent resident visas. The restriction on passenger types is set by current Philippine Immigration requirements for entry and exit.
