Search for discount parking and make reservations. Accumulate rewards to be used on future reservations.

2) ParkFlyStay
Check for deals to stay and fly at local hotels. You choose if you will stay at the hotel at the beginning or the end of your trip.

I have had some great experiences. For Ontario I ended up staying at the Holiday Inn and they let me park for free. For LAX I found good deals to Stay at the Fairfield Inn and park. For an upcoming 10 night trip, I used Hilton points to stay one night at Hilton LAX (early flight) and park the entire time next door at Airport LAX parking. Sometimes you need to be creative!

How do I make a long distance call or send texts for free while travelling?

The internet has come a long way and so has the ability to be anywhere without horrendous charges for phone calls and text by your carrier. In fact it is changing faster than i can keep up!

⚡️I have two tips to share today:

💚WhatsApp
This is an app that can make phone calls and text messages via your internet connection. You will see this as a common interface when people are exchanging phone numbers. In order to use this app you must either be connected to wifi or have a data plan.

❤️Airalo
While abroad, you will need to have a data connection for when you don't have wifi. One of the recent developments are apps called esim. Once installed, you can purchase a plan for the country. You are in to use their data without dealing with your carrier. This is for data only and you cannot use it to make phone calls and send text messages. You can now use this in combination with a communication app like Whatsapp to make those phone calls and text.

💛Sim Cards
If you don't use the esim approach, you could also purchase a sim card in the country that you are visiting. It is very common to find these sim cards at convenient locations like gas stations. You would then use it in your phone to connect to the towers in the country you're in.

🚫We usually learn the fastest after making a mistake. I wasn't thinking straight and called Malaysia airlines yesterday forgetting that it is a long distance call. 🙊

Do you need to organize your toiletries?

I travel so much, I am always finding better ways to bring my toiletries. Although I usually check my bag, it can become heavy packing full size liquids.

I wanted to see if these bottles would hold enough for a week long trip. They say 5-7 days. I read online we should use .3 oz shampoo per use. So this is legit, I don't have to worry about running out!

I used to buy the dollar store bottles. They were hard to squeeze and I would have an arm workout trying to shake or bang product out. These silicone squeezable wide mouth bottle are the answer!!!

Snorkeling with manta rays?

I have been researching different activities to do in Bali. This one definitely hit the top of my list of things to do. I remember doing a night swim when in Kona, Hawaii with the manta rays and what an amazing experience it was. Now I would love to snorkel with them! In addition, this is such a beautiful island to visit.

Travel Tips

How I booked my trip to Dallas this weekend. Yes! Cowboys vs Eagles today!

1) Southwest Airlines
Always a deal when they have their own Love Field airport here in Dallas! Up to two bags checked free always. And I used miles from my Souhwest Airlines credit card. See link to get your card in the comments.

2) Car
I booked Easirental which was new for me. Very cheap compared to other rental car agencies. Careful though, customer service is lacking. Long wait for shuttle and at office. They didn't have my car but I did leave with a vehicle. Still happy about the low rate and I wasn't pressed to be anywhere.

3) Accomodations
For the first time, I booked through Southwest who works with Booking. I found a steal on a 1 bedroom townhome near the stadium! Since I booked through Southwest, I also earned miles.

4) Dinner
Highly recommend Mercury Chophouse in Arlington. Amazing view of the stadium and e cell entertainment food and service.

5) Texas Live
I bought a 10 dollar ticket to enter Texas Live today, located next to AT&T stadium. Has several restaurants and entertainment with indoor and outdoor seating.
