Contractors and vendors assemble!
Work is resuming at Universal’s Epic Universe!

I cannot wait for this! Super Nintendo World- and at least three other lands- will make up this new park originally slated to open in 2023. No update on the timeline yet, but as work gets back to full steam we should hear more.

Beginning Oct. 1, Walt Disney World Resort will throw “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of our 50th anniversary, bringing new experiences to our four theme parks and beyond. This milestone is such a big deal, we’ve even coined a new word – “EARidescence” – to describe what Guests will see when they visit. Our Disney teams are creating all sorts of new decorations that will shimmer and sparkle all day and into the night.

As part of the celebration, Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park will add to its royal makeover from last year. The castle will feature golden bunting and a 50th anniversary crest as part of its festive new look.

The castle will add even more magic at night, joined by icons at each of the other three theme parks as they transform into Beacons of Magic, including pixie dust on Cinderella Castle, magical fireflies inhabiting the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and special new touches coming to life on the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

And at EPCOT, new lights will shine across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth, connecting to one another and resembling stars in a nighttime sky. This permanent new lighting will continue beyond “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” as a defining feature of the park.

Big news! Walt Disney World Resort kicks off its 50th anniversary celebration October 1st, 2021 and it will continue for 18 months!!

The time is NOW!

2022 Walt Disney World® Resort vacation packages are now available to book!

Please note, the check-in date of your vacation cannot be more than 500 days in the future. *Disney Vacation Club Resorts are available for bookings on a rolling 11-month schedule.

There are some resort hotels that are not, as of this time, scheduled for reopening yet. We will continue to evaluate the situation and reopen more locations when the environment is right to do so. Disney Dining packages remain unavailable at this time.

Normal terms and conditions for final payments, cancelations and change fees will apply for all 2022 vacation bookings.

“Will it be ready for 2021 though?

It’s difficult to know. Reservations have yet to become available, we can’t really tell how close to complete the inside of this ship is, and some parts of the outside are not quite as developed as others. But, we have gotten a peek at one of the guest rooms, the building itself does appear to be nearing completion on the outside, and the project is on Disney’s list of priorities.”

Disney knows how to take a trend and make it MAGICAL! Giant Olaf hot chocolate bombs are selling out at Disney Springs on the daily- in less than an hour! The Ganachery says they only have 75 molds at present, so that’s the daily limit, but more are on the way.

If you’re headed down for the holiday, or if you’re local to Disney World, will you be trying to grab one?

The hot chocolate bombs typically sell out within 45 minutes at Disney Springs.

Do you love to park hop?? 🐰 I have great news for you!! Did you hear?? Park Hopper tickets return January 1st!

We LOVED the ability to jump around on our Sept. 2019 trip. On our last day, we were able to spend the morning on the safari before having breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. Then after naptime, travel with toddlers means mid-day breaks on the daily, we hopped over to Magic Kingdom for more rides, dinner and fireworks to finish the trip.

Park Hoppers might look a little different in 2021. You’ll still have to chose your first park and make an advance reservation to enter. Then, after 2pm, you’ll be free to move around to a different park of your choice. I’ll share more details as we get them!

I grew up primarily with my maternal grandparents so this gives me so many feels 💗 I always wanted to take Grandma to Disney World, she’s still never been, but she has dementia now and it just can’t happen.

My paternal grandparents were the ones who introduced me to all things Disney World. The Disney Store too for that matter. A love that has only grown and grown over the years. I’m thinking I might just need this new commemorative Mickey Mouse plush 😍

POP CENTURY RESORT

Skyliner access, tie dye cheesecake (and T-shirts) and a pool shaped like a bowling pin! What’s not to love?

So many larger than life statues make the theming at this resort so delightful! Fun facts line the running trail around the resort and each area honors a different decade from the 50’s to the 90’s.

Nostalgia at every turn, both inside and outside.

Christmas has arrived at Disney World! 🎄🎁This is such a magical time to visit. ✈️🏰

❤️💚Many elements of the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party have been added to the daily lineup, so this year in particular really gives a good bang for the admission buck. Especially with all the unprecedented changes that have occurred. 😷

Hopefully, the party will run as usual again next year, but this year you might see Santa 🎅🏼 riding down Main Street and special holiday cavalcades during the day. 💃🏻🕺🏼🏰

Not to mention all this great Christmas merchandise that’s now available!! I’m loving all the holiday spirit jerseys. You can always use more spirit jerseys in northern Michigan. Even though it’s been uncharacteristicly warm this past week ☀️
