City Works located in Disney Springs is TRULY a hidden gem! Need some feel good foods (we call them happy fat fats in our house 🤣)! Then you need to check out this spot out for
🍻 An amazing tap list offering 90 local and global craft beers on tap, including rotating handles for rare, limited, and seasonal brews
🍽️The apps are on point. They offer bar bites and shareables (I got one of these as my entree)
🍔 Scrumptious burger options and their FRIES are amazing!
🏈🏀⚽️Plus it’s the ONLY sports bar in Disney Springs!

If you have a Nintendo fan, then you NEED to visit Nintendo World in Universal Hollywood (note this is not found in Orlando). 🪙 Here are my tips to maximize your day in the park:

⭐ VIP tour is the way to go in my opinion because you have front-of-the-line access to the attraction Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and unlimited Express Passes to enjoy (plus all the other perks of the tour!)

🎟️ The Super Nintendo Early Access Ticket is an absolute no brainer in my opinion. I purchased this before my trip for 20$ and it gets you into Nintendo 1 hour before park open.

⏰ They let you into the park before that hour starts and they actually hold you at the Nintendo entrance until that hour starts. If you show up to the front gate exactly one hour early you will lose time because it takes about 10-15 min to get to Nintendo's entrance (Lower Lot)
.
💸 You also can buy a power up band in a store in front of the park as you make your way down to the land. I recommend purchasing here so it will be linked and ready to go before you even stepped foot in the land!

In honor of the marathon today at Disney, I had to come on and discuss what nobody tells you about long runs. While this applies to running in general, this is the not so glorious side to runDisney, as many (hey this was me for all my races so no judgement!) don’t train for these events as they should.
RunDisney is a magical experience, but I encourage you to prepare for everything, including these two things I learned running my half marathon in November!

The holiday season in Walt Disney World Resort is quite frankly my favorite time to visit the parks! I heFestival of the Holidays at is one of my favorite things about the holidays season here and why you will mainly find me here on my December evenings.

✨ Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt where adults and kiddos alike can go on a quest to find holiday traditions
✨Food booths located around World Showcase featuring holiday traditions from around the world
✨The Holiday Cookie Stroll introduces us to various cookies from around the world with a treat just for you if you purchase 5 (PRO TIP: Bring plastic baggies to save your cookies for later!)
✨Candlelight Processional featuring celebrity narrators (like my fav Neil Patrick Harris!), an orchestra, and local choirs retelling the Christmas story through words and music. (PRO TIP: Book a dining package for designated seating and to avoid the long standby line for popular narrators).
✨Storytellers featured in various countries telling about holiday traditions from around the world! This is honestly my favorite part of the entire festival!

🏃🏽 RunDisney Tip: Transportation Options! 🏃🏽
I will be giving some tips for RunDisney this week! Next up: Transportation! 🚌
🚌 On-Property Transportation 🚌
runDisney event transportation will be provided to/from all Walt Disney World® Resorts, Shades of Green, and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. Times vary based on event but busses typically start running around 3 AM. Check for a sign at your resort for specifics to your resort since times vary. Keep in mind: The Skyliner and Monorail are not typically available before the race but do open at normal times for the day.
🚘 Driving 🚘
For all race events, Guests must park at EPCOT unless otherwise specified for the event. Parking is free before 6 a.m. on race mornings. I HIGHLY recommend using Disney transportation if you are on property as there are numerous road closures you will need to check.
⚠️ Road Closures ⚠️
In order to prepare for events, numerous road closures will take place and these typically begin around 3 AM. As a local, I typically drive and have to plan for this. The week of the event, road closures will be released along with projected times for these closures so that you can plan. Make sure you look at this!
🚐 Uber, Lyft, and Minnie Vans are another option but be aware of surge pricing!
No matter what you decide, runDisney events call for some early wake-up times, so make sure you decide ahead of time!

I will be giving some tips for RunDisney this week! Next up: Expo Check-In Passes! 🎟️
What is a Check-in Pass❓
This gives all your info about your bib, tshirt, and more. This is what you will show at the Expo, along with your photo ID, to pick up everything you will need for race day!
What is the Expo❓
Running over the course of race weekends starting day before the first run (so for Wine & Dine it starts on Thursday, while for Princess it starts on Wednesday) and features amazing vendors focused on running, discounted water park tickets, food, the infamous 🍺 cup, as well as access to race weekend merchandise (keep in mind that requires a separate Virtual Queue to enter and is on your MDE app).
🏃🏽♀️ Bib Pickup
You must have this pass along with your photo ID to pick up your race items, including your bib, tee, and clear plastic drawstring bag for personal item check-in at the race. You must pick up the day before your race and there is no bib pickup offered at the race, so that’s really important for scheduling your trip!

🏃🏽 RunDisney Tip: Photos! 🏃🏽
💚 💚 Look for the Green Tents & Lights 💚
Photopass photographers are in bright green tents with lights so you can’t miss them. They are typically in the park areas of the run (you won’t see them on the road portion on the longer runs) and they typically be on both sides.
🪟 Find your window🪟
When you see a photographer ahead, try to position yourself more to either the right or left. Also you can slow or speed up your pace so you can get your moment away from others not in your party. I call this your window, or pocket. This is really helpful at the finish line too!
🏃🏽♀️Make sure your Bib is Visible 🏃🏽♀️
If your bib is crumpled, you won’t get race photos. Make sure you can see it because that is how they load the photos!
💃🏾Strike a Pose! 🕺🏼
Think about poses you might want to do and mix it up. You can wave at the photographer but they will focus on you the more creative you are. I love the jump photos, you can be more of the serious runner type (oh there was a photographer?!) or other fun poses. Think ahead and mix it up for the best variety of shots!
📸Character Photos Before & After 📸
I recommend getting to the race around 3 AM. Characters (many of them obscure or dealing with the race theme) start meeting then so grab a few shots before the corrals open around 4-4:15 AM. Or you can grab character photos after the race!
🤳🏼Buy Memory Maker 🤳🏼
Your bib will have instructions of how to link your race photos to you My Disney Experience app for downloads. I highly recommend getting the Memory Maker so you can have all your race photos, the photos before and after the race, plus photos with your medals in the parks (as well as any other park photos you might have). This is such an experience, make sure you commemorate it!

I get asked all the time: “Why should I book with a TA when I can do it myself?” Here’s why:
1️⃣There are SOOOOOO many reasons why people still NEED travel agents. Remember there is more then 1 type of travel and I specialize in several destinations!
2️⃣While booking a hotel room for 1 night for 1 person is easy - other types are not! Disney is much more complicated than it used to be, all-inclusives and travel to foreign countries require research and time that we save you!
3️⃣ Travel agent fees are incorporated into the price whether you use one or not. You’re paying for a service if you book direct. What you get from ME is expertise and a single-point of contact: your travel bestie that is in your corner to apply promotions, answer your questions and alleviate any anxieties you may have!
