One of the most iconic Christmas traditions in Mallorca is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated on December 8th.
This day marks the beginning of the holiday season in the region. Many towns and villages hold parades called "La Fura de na Lleo," where locals dress up in medieval costumes and reenact historical events.
The holiday season in Mallorca culminates with the arrival of the Three Kings on January 5th. The night before, a spectacular parade known as the "Cabalgata de Reyes" takes place in Palma, where the Three Kings make their way through the city on elaborately decorated floats, throwing sweets to bystanders.
On January 6th, children wake up to find gifts brought by the Three Kings, rather than by Sana Claus.
