CEB Travel Advisory on IATF temporary ban for foreign nationals until Jan 15, 2021 as of Dec 30, 2020, 2pm

Due to the newly detected variant of the SARS-CoV-2, the Philippine government, through the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), has imposed a temporary ban for foreign nationals flying to the Philippines from December 30, 2020 to January 15, 2021. During this period, only Filipino citizens will be accepted on CEB’s flights from Hong Kong, Nagoya (Japan), Singapore, and Seoul (South Korea).

CEB will not accept foreign nationals who originated from, transited via, or visited within 14 days prior to arrival in the Philippines, any of the 20 countries specified in the IATF resolution. The list of affected countries and complete details may be viewed here: [bit.ly/IATFResoNo91_122920

Passengers affected by the temporary ban may avail of any of the following options through [bit.ly/CEBmanageflight
Free rebooking within 90 days, waived rebooking fee and fare difference

As we are slowly but surely opening up tourism in our beloved Philippines amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we also want to make sure that everyone is traveling safely and still doing their part to protect the environment. Join us in our campaign to Phase out Single Use Plastics in the Hospitality Sector by following these tips on how to travel safely without single-use plastics.

IMPORTANT ADVISORY

ALL airport passengers MUST download and register an account in the TRAZE Contact Tracing App beginning 28 November 2020, prior entering the airport.

How to register? Just these simple steps:

• Download the TRAZE App from your mobile store and install it on your phone
• Open the app and click the “Register” button below. Register as “Individual.”
• Just follow the instructions indicated in the app and input the needed information
• Activate your account

Meanwhile, for passengers who do not have mobile phones or any other mobile gadget, they may go to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport where they will be provided assistance in getting a unique QR code. Or, they may likewise ask a family member to register them with the app.

The QR code can be used at any DOTr Office nationwide.

TRAZE, a nationwide and unified contact tracing app is co-developed by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and Cosmotech Philippines, Inc., which enables the government’s contact tracing efforts to be strengthened and be more efficient.

With TRAZE, the contact tracing process can now be done in just a few minutes, unlike the usual and manual process. Not only that—you can also be assured that your data is safe and secured, as the app fully complies with the Data Privacy Act (DPA) or Republic Act No. 10173. Further, it does not use bluetooth or GPS, and it works well even with slow mobile data and WiFi!

Philippine Airlines will be mounting additional flights to and from Boracay on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. This is apart from the regular 2x weekly flights between Manila and Boracay every Friday and Sunday.

Only tourists from areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) or lower, apart from travelers from Western Visayas, are allowed to visit Boracay Island.

Effective Oct 1, 2020, Caticlan (Boracay) Airport only accepts tourists. All Locally Stranded Individuals (LSI), Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF) and Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) should travel via Kalibo, instead of via Caticlan. Please check with your local government units for the latest updates.
