Disney’s ULTIMATE Transportation!!! This thing trumps the Monorail by far! (Don’t @ me)

One of my favorite pastimes at Disney is to just ride the Skyliner around the resorts. There’s something so relaxing about floating over Disney property with a perfect breeze keeping you nice and cool. You can’t tell me that doesn’t sound wonderful!!!

The Skyliner is not only the best form of transportation, but also the newest. It has been running for a little over a year and has made the resorts on it’s line far more popular than ever before! The convenience is unmatched!

If you are a mom of littles who always has a stroller then here’s a HUGE perk for you: You don’t have to fold the stroller on the Skyliner!!! Awesome right?!? Double strollers still have to be folded up on the Skyliner but only if they are the side-by-side models.

MmmMmmmMMMM!!! That exclamation point in the name is there for a reason! That’s GOOD chicken!

Guy Fieri’s signature recipe makes this chicken one of the best quick service options in Disney Springs. Heck, I’d say it’s THE best quick service option at Disney!

While the chicken is incredible, there’s something to be said for the wide variety of sauces, and the fries… OH the fries! Seasoned to perfection and satisfying with every bite.

This place isn’t just great because of the food. The price makes it even more worth it! For just $11.49 you can get a 3-piece tender combo with fries and a drink! At Disney, that’s a steal.

European style with beautiful artistry around every corner - Disney’s Riviera Resort is a different kind of beauty!

This is Disney’s newest resort, which is evident from the mix of modern and classic style of the rooms and architecture. The halls are lined with beautiful pieces of art and photography that gives this resort it’s flare.

If you’ve seen it during the day, just wait until you see it at night! This place shines with beauty as the sun goes down and the lights of the Riviera sparkle all through the night. Perfect for a late night stroll or dip in the pool.

An added bonus of staying here is the Skyliner! The Riviera is 1 of 4 resorts directly on Disney’s newest (and most convenient) form of transportation.

One of the most underrated experiences at Disney is taking a rest day to enjoy the resort!

Things to Keep in Mind:
-Toddlers need breaks! We’ve talked about this before. While naps on park days can be spent in the stroller no problem, giving toddlers a good nap in their bed/packnplay can go a long way even if it’s only once during your trip. Take a rest day and do just that. REST! The parks can take a lot of your energy and kids aren’t any different. Having a day to sleep in a little and slow down can make your trip so much more enjoyable!
-Not all of the resorts have toddler friendly areas by the pool. Disney is great about providing life jackets for kids, so your toddler can play in the water regardless. But some resorts are better than others when it comes to a water area for toddlers. For example, there’s a small shallow wading pool for littles at Pop Century and they have some spray features too. Several of the moderate and deluxe resorts have splash pads and spray grounds. Be sure to look into these options when picking your resort.

My Favorite Things to do on Resort Days With My Toddler:
-Play at the pool! Again, the resort will determine what your water options are for your toddlers.
-Explore! We love to just walk around our resort and let my son guide the way, and he loves it too! Use this time to really look around and see the details in your resort.
-Resort hop! We LOVE the Skyliner so we use any excuse we can think of to ride in a breezy gondola! Take the Skyliner to any of the 6 resorts on it’s route and just explore. New scenery is so much fun for toddlers so let them lead you on an adventure!

If you haven’t caught on yet, I really appreciate the details. You will have a hard time finding as much detail in other places as you will at Walt Disney World! For me, detail shows how much someone really cares and the love that is poured into those parks AND resorts is evident through the details!

Animal Kingdom is my favorite park for so many reasons! And even though there’s not as much that toddlers can ride here, there’s still so much for them to enjoy.

Things to Keep in Mind:
-Like I said, there’s not as much for toddlers to ride at Animal Kingdom. This just means you will get to spend a lot more time exploring with your child. And what better park to explore than Animal Kingdom, where you are surrounded by wildlife and nature!
-Animal Kingdom usually closes the earliest of all the parks so you will definitely want to make sure to work in everything that your toddler can ride and try to ride multiple times.
-Toddlers have a love/hate relationship with Tough To Be A Bug! Those unexpected blasts of air and water often make toddlers upset and uneasy.

My Favorite Things to do at AK With My Toddler:
-Dinoland U.S.A.! He LOVED walking around this land and dancing to the music! He also loved the Triceratops Spin.
-Walking around the bridges in Pandora. This is by far my favorite land of all so we spend a lot of time in Pandora just exploring. There are so many walkways and trails at AK, but we love the winding bridge and path in front of the floating rocks at Flight of Passage.
-Seeing the animals. NO Animal Kingdom is NOT a glorified zoo!!! There is SO much more to this park than just the animals. But I would be crazy if I said that the animals aren’t a huge part of AK. One of the coolest animal encounters at AK, in my opinion, is The Kingdom Takes Flight - which showcases beautiful macaws flying over your head in front of the Tree of Life. This happens at different times throughout the day so be on the lookout!

Just like at Magic Kingdom, I think it’s so important to really take in all of the beauty and detail that has been created for your enjoyment by some incredible Imagineers. Having toddlers gives you an opportunity to do this on another level, so take advantage of that downtime and LOOK AROUND! If you don’t do this at AK then you’re truly missing out.

Alright guys, I gotta say it… Flower and Garden Festival is the best Epcot Festival! Don’t @ me!

Why? Have you SEEN those topiaries?!?! The amount of time and commitment that has to be put into each individual character is incredible! You can’t look at them without appreciating the true art behind them! But the topiaries are just the beginning!

You WANT to go during the Flower and Garden Festival because no pictures can do justice to the beauty of Epcot covered in flowers! It. Is. GORGEOUS!!!
There are so many food items and special merchandise that only come around during this festival which just makes the whole experience all the more worth it. Not to mention the seasonal areas specific to the festival like the walkthrough butterfly garden!!!

Toddlers at Magic Kingdom! LOTS of info for you, friends!

Some things to keep in mind:
- Magic Kingdom has the most rides for toddlers to ride which means you will probably spend the most time in line at this park than others. Take small toys, books, snacks, or even a tablet with you when going to Magic Kingdom so that you’ve got plenty of ways to keep them entertained in line!
- Breaks are great to have! Don’t feel like you have to fit in ALL the things. Let your toddler set the pace (within reason), and do things you might not normally think to do. Enjoy that time of watching your toddler explore Disney!
- The strollers you can rent at the parks are not comfortable for naps. There are some awesome stroller rental places that will bring your rental to the parks or your resort for you! Or, if it’s possible for your family, consider bringing your own personal stroller since that’s something your toddler is already familiar with and may be more inclined to nap in.

My Favorite things to do at MK with my Toddler:
- Let him walk/run/play on the dock area in Liberty Square. We often go over here when we are doing Rider Swap for Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. It’s beautiful, and there’s not very much traffic along the dock so it’s the perfect area for him to just run around freely. Bonus: It’s close enough to the street that you can sit and watch the cavalcades go by!
-Another great spot to let him run around and burn some energy is the Hub Grass which is to both your left and right directly after you walk through Main Street going towards the castle.
-We love to stop and point out all of the characters that you can see right now! My son loves Mickey and Friends as well as the Hundred Acre Wood characters so we are always watching for them as we walk through the parks.

Ultimately, I love to take the time to appreciate all that Disney has to offer. So, if sitting and resting with my toddler reminds me to stop and look around at all of the beauty and detail that the Imagineers have put into the parks, I am more than willing to do that!

BIG MASK NEWS!!!

Disney’s new update to their mask policy:
“Face coverings are optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney Resort, but are still required upon entering and throughout all attractions, theaters and transportation.”

This is HUGE news!!! That summer heat is going to be so much more bearable now that we don’t have to wear them the whole day.

Toddlers can be sooo hard but they sure make life more fun! One of my favorite experiences with toddlerhood has been seeing Disney through my son’s little eyes. There is nothing that compares to the joy on his face when he sees Donald at Topolinos or the squeals of excitement when he recognizes the Hundred Acre Wood characters on the Winnie the Pooh ride!

I want you to experience special moments like this with the toddlers in your own life! So let’s talk about Disney with your Toddlers.

Over the next couple weeks, I will be posting my favorite things to do with a toddler at different locations in Disney World. Maybe it’s a park, maybe it’s a specific land, maybe it’s a resort, or maybe it’s an activity.

I am going to be real with you guys! I’m not going to pretend like toddlers make every experience better because you and I both know that’s a lie. Toddlers are hard and they sometimes make life harder. BUT, we also know that life before them was way less fun.

I’ll share the fun things and the hard things about taking your toddlers, but ultimately I’d like to equip you with ideas and strategies that can make your trip all the more enjoyable!

Fluorescent paint, floating rocks, and whimsical plants!
These are all things you can find in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora - The World of Avatar.

This land features the ever popular ride, Flight of Passage which is a virtual banshee ride through the beautiful world of Pandora. It’s so realistic, you’ll feel like you're actually flying as the breeze blows through your hair and you feel your banshee breathing beneath you. This is one of the most popular rides at Animal Kingdom and can have one of the longest wait times of all the parks so make sure you run to get in line if you see that wait time drop below 100 minutes. I promise you, it is worth the wait!

If park hours allow, make sure to check out Pandora after dark. There’s fluorescent markings everywhere which are illuminated by black lights. Several of the plants and water features also have this unique look at night. It’s a sight you won’t want to miss!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, babies and toddlers LOVE Disney!!! You’re already showing them Disney movies and cartoons so why wouldn’t they enjoy the parks too?!?

The memories that you’ll create while watching the joy on those baby faces are ones you’ll cherish forever! No, they won’t remember those moments but YOU will! And parents, Disney is just as much for you as it is for your kids!

Well this dessert at Beaches and Cream has everything PLUS the kitchen sink! For real! It’s served in a bowl that looks like a kitchen sink! 😲

This massive dessert can feed your whole family. It’s made of 8 scoops of ice cream - Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chips - and is then smothered in every topping they have! You also have the option of Chocolate Lovers or Neapolitan. Can you say yum?!?

Disney through the Decades!

Pop Century is one the most popular Value Resorts on Disney property. Why?
-Theme: This resort has iconic Disney figures in the form of statues placed all through out the different buildings! If that’s not nostalgic enough for you, there are also giant statues of popular toys through the decades.
-Price: Since this is a Value resort it’s going to be a lower cost which can be nice for smaller families!
-Location: Even if you’re not into the theme, the proximity to the parks is a HUGE selling point! Being one of the resorts on the Skyliner, Pop Century has quick access to Hollywood Studios and Epcot!

Grab your favorite Starbucks drink in any of the parks - I promise it tastes better at Disney!
Pop over to Beach club for a variety of ice cream and dining pleasures at Beaches and Cream!
Enjoy Breakfast a la Art with Mickey and Friends at Topolinos Terrace (located in the Riviera Resort). You’ll be treated to these complementary pastries and POG juice made with pineapple, orange, and guava - and believe me, it’s even better than it sounds!

Disney Photo Opp?!? Yes please!

There are lots of areas and walls at Disney for guests to stop and take a fun picture in front of. Most of them are in the parks, but this one isn’t.

This is actually one mosaic that stretches up one side, onto the roof, and back down the other side of a relaxing walkway. You can find this Tangled treasure as well as a Peter Pan portrait at the beautiful Riviera Resort.

The Riviera is just over a year old and is one of Disney’s deluxe resorts. It is also home to the ever popular character breakfast - Mickey’s Breakfast a la Art (Topolinos Terrace).

If you’ve never visited this breathtaking resort, be sure to hop on the Skyliner and ride over there during your next stay! You’re gonna want to see those mosaics up close!

I need face wipes for the parks???

One of the guidelines at Disney right now is for all guests to wear face coverings.

If you’re like me, wearing a mask for a long period of time can make your face sweaty and even breakout.

Bringing face wipes and some other items with you into the parks can make wearing a mask all day more bearable. Here’s what I recommend:
1. Two masks per day - this will give you an opportunity to switch masks halfway through the day if you find your mask getting wet from sweat.
2. Face wipes - anytime you are eating or drinking and have your mask off is a good opportunity to take a face wipe and clean off some of that sweat building up.
3. Mask holders - these are lanyards that you can clip onto the ear of your mask. This keeps you from setting your mask down when eating or drinking and possibly losing it.
4. Chapstick - wearing a mask all day can sometimes dry out your lips. After you clean your face with a wipe, go ahead and apply some fresh chapstick.
5. Hand sanitizer/disinfectant hand wipes - while Disney has hand sanitizer available through the parks and resorts, you never know when you’re going to need some. It’s always a good idea to carry your own (especially if you’re bringing littles)

Wait times got you down? I feel ya!

Waiting in a long line can be hard. Especially if you have a toddler in tow!

Did you know that Disney has a system in place for parents with children who can’t ride everything?

Rider Swap is Disney’s gift to parents! It allows one parent to ride the “bigger rides” while the other stays back with the non riding child. Then they switch. Here’s how it works:
1. Head to the entrance of a ride with your party and find the cast member with an iPad.
2. Have your magic bands or park tickets ready and tell them you need to set up rider swap.
3. The cast member will ask you who is riding the second time. Up to 4 people from your party can ride the second time.
4. The cast member will scan the tickets or bands of those riding the second time.
5. Whoever is riding the first time will go get in the stand-by line while someone(s) stays back with the non riding child.
6. Once the members of your party who rode the first time have returned, the members who scanned their tickets/magic bands will go to the fast pass line and scan their tickets/bands again. They will then go through the fast pass line and wait to ride.
7. Your party all returns and you repeat for the next ride!

Awesome right?!

So next time you’re headed to Disney with a child who can’t ride everything, use Rider Swap and enjoy your time with those littles even more!
