🙅♀️ Say No to Riding: Avoid elephant rides and performances. These activities can cause physical and psychological harm to these animals.
🌿 Only support Ethical Sanctuaries: If you're eager to interact with elephants, choose to visit reputable sanctuaries that prioritize the well-being of elephants. Look for places that offer observation and learning experiences, rather than forced interactions. ✨ Hotel Spotlight ✨
We stayed at The Amavi Hotel in Paphos for our minimoon - we were spoilt with an upgrade to the Executive Suite which was stunning. The suite had a huge living area with floor to ceiling windows and the most amazing views. There was also a large bedroom with doors out to a wraparound balcony, two bathrooms, one with a free standing bathtub and walk in shower and a dressing room with huge wardrobes and a dressing table to die for!!
The Amavi defines itself as a 'couples only' hotel with a real focus on romance and intimacy. There are four restaurants - three which are a la carte and can be dined at once a week on your half board programme. We chose to dine at Nocturne which is their luxurious Michelin star Mediterranean 7 course tasting menu restaurant complete with live piano music and wine pairing. It was a truly special evening! The hotel also has a cocktail bar with live music 6 nights a week.
There are two outdoor pools, one with a swim up bar and the best selection of cocktails - their take on a Pina Colada is a must have!! On day one of your holiday you can choose your sunbeds and these will be yours for the entire stay so no early morning wake up calls to bagsy a sunbed! The sunbed area features a small safe for your valuables as well as a call button so you can order cocktails and snacks from the comfort of your sun lounger!
We had the loveliest 3 nights here and it was the perfect ending to our long holiday in Cyprus ❤ for couples looking for an adults only luxury escape I can't recommend it enough.
