Our Kishma came to us with an amazing concept for her birthday this year, “focusing on the blessings and tapping into the power of gratitude.” We turned that into a “Too blessed to be Stressed” themed weekend at Long Bay Beach Resort which included a few of her fav things:

🚨 Weeee-wooo, FIRST TIMER ALERT! 🚨Justice and Makelia chose us for their FIRST EVER TRIP to the British Virgin Islands - and we had to show out style
by custom-crafting a three day island-hopping experience. A few of the on the itinerary we’re still gushin’ about:

Last Thursday was the end of an era - and the beginning of a new year for our adventurer, Natalie. Naturally, we sealed the deal with a MASSIVE SURPRISE: Natalie’s friends whisked her away for a birthday resort-crawl at Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, Autograph Collection! ⛵

Happy tears started bright n’ early when Nat opened her deluxe suite door to in-room bubbly 🥂 and a special message in petals 🌸 — and they didn’t stop until nightfall - through the veranda views, while serving looks from a one-on-one makeover sesh at UMI Fashions at her B-Day editorial shoot, and all the way to a private dinner in the Candle Room. - where a BUNCH of Nat’s closest friends surprised her in the doorway! Cheers, music, and more tears followed, of course. 😭🎉

From the beginning, Nat’s been surrounded by love - and we thought it’d be fitting that she end her journey with us that way. has been a wild ride, and we’ve enjoyed every step with a client who made each made-to-measure moment worth it. Day 27 of : A Scavenger Hunt! 🔍 📍 We teamed up with Bria Smith of VI Scavenger Hunt to bring our client Natalie and her best buds this wild, wacky, full-island adventure on Friday! Five teams of three, all decked out in Nat’s favorite color (for the points, thank you!) embarked on a crazy, 22-task and 3-challenge scavenger hunt that involved passerby, singing and dancing, and a whole lot of creativity. Some of our favorite challenges? Asking an unknown couple the story of how they met 💞(10 points), taking a photo with the British Virgin Islands flag 🇻🇬 (25 points), doing a Tik Tok dance at the Pier 🕺🏿(15 points), and recording a team performance of the almost-birthday girl’s favorite song 🎤(Photograph by Ed Sheeran - 10 points!)

The competition got HEATED - and folks have been not-so-patiently waiting for a winner. 😂 The tally’s in - congratulations tooo: TEAM DESTINED! 🎉 Enjoy your prize, y’all - even though we know it’s all about the bragging rights. 😉

Stuff those duffels, international fam - safe travel to the BVI just got a MAJOR upgrade! 💼🗺️ Starting May 15, 2021, fully vaccinated adventurers can quarantine for just 12-24 HOURS upon arrival to the British Virgin Islands (about as long as it takes for a good mauby to settle!). When we started this brand, there was no other person that I could have thought of to convey the story of than Destined Designs. I literally never have to say too much, it’s just a quick chat about the idea and boom! Vision complete - our phenomenal logo is truly a clear example of that! Made from recycled teak wood and sheltered by palm leaves, Loose Mongoose is built from the beach - and is just steps away. 🌊 Premium views come with the territory, and watching waves hit sun-soaked sand from this Beef Island spot’s terrace is a daydream come true - and the perfect place for a Paint & Sip with the posse. Rollin’ solo? Add a good book, a cup of fragrant BVI Bush tea and a chunk of banana bread from the Cafe - you’ll be golden. Oh, and be sure to ask for fan-favorite Ann, barista extraordinaire - she’s MAGIC with the cafe’s signature brew! ☕
Ready for a belly-full? Chef Neil’s expansive, drool-worthy menu is designed to tempt all tastebuds - from local faves like the Grilled BVI Lobster 🦞 and glazed fish and chips to the tender foccacia chicken sandwich. ’s advice? Bring a fellow foodie, order a lil’ bit of everything, and go splitsies - but no promises on sharing the brown-sugar rubbed Mongoose ribs! 🤤Veggie and vegan friends can find savory, delicious home in hummus wraps, crack cauliflower, and more - but our personal fave is the Reggae Callaloo Soup (thick callaloo leaves + okra + pumpkin = heaven in a bowl.)
And SUNDAYS are where the real Mongoose Magic happens. Social butterflies with a try-‘em-all spirit can start the day with an eggs benny at beachside Brunch, grab a nap, and come on back once the sun sets for GRILL NIGHT and a LIVE musical performance from an ever-rotating cast of artists (DJ Dagga and Xtreme Band are recent guests!)
