A little more Disney history:

Yesterday was the 28th anniversary of Chef Mickey's debut at Walt Disney World's Contemporary Resort! This iconic restaurant is fun for the whole family and is an easy walk or monorail ride over to Magic Kingdom. Great food, visits from Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto and plenty of family fun.

Pro Tip: Goofy is very tall and can be terrifying to young toddlers. Seat them accordingly, so that no large characters sneak up behind them during their meal 😅!

A little Disney history:
Yesterday was the 86th anniversary of the premiere of Snow White! It all started at the Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles.

The premiere was attended by a star-studded crowd who responded with a standing ovation! The film was released to the public in February 1938, where it quickly grossed a $8 million an amazing box office success during the Great Depression! It was the highest grossing film up at that time.

My favorite place to celebrate Snow White is at the Storybook Dining at Artist Point experience at the Wilderness Lodge in Walt Disney World! Amazing food, lovely ambience and the character interactions are legendary!

With holiday crowds or ANYTIME it's crowded at Disney World, it pays to have a strategy for Quick Service Dining (without long waits). When it comes time for a quick lunch or dinner, here are few tips to keeping mealtime peaceful and enjoyable.

📲 You’ll want to use Mobile Ordering and order early. You can set a time in advance, but if you aren’t on it early, you might be out of luck for a normal dining time.

🍕🍔🥗 Choose a larger restaurant, like Connections Eatery in EPCOT. This place not only absorbs a ton of people, its high ceilings make you feel like you’ve got space-something in short supply during busy times. Plus, the food options are wide: pizza, salad, sandwiches, burgers and shakes-something for everyone. And, it has a few open kitchens so you can watch the chefs work their magic!


📌PRO TIP: Think out of the Parks when it comes to Quick Service dining during the peak holiday season. The masses will head to the popular spots and seating will be a frustrating challenge. Head to a nearby resort, an eatery that may be off the beaten path a bit or somewhere that you know has ample seating. I know all the busy park dining tips and I love to share those with my guests...like a Snackie Santa!

I can't believe that I missed it, but yesterday was National Cake Day!! Really -- right after the Thanksgiving Pie-Fest??

🥳🎂 Still, I love me a good cake!
And Mickey Celebration Cakes can turn a Table Service meal into a party! They can be personalized and ordered in advance or same day at the host/hostess stand. (But you’re really rolling the dice there.) They run $39 (pre-tax) and can easily feed 6+ people, in my experience. Did I mention that they are delicious?

If you go to Disney Springs this holiday season, make sure to pick up your map to the Christmas Tree Stroll!

The trees are beautiful, and each one is themed to a Disney movie or franchise. Visit them all and fill out your map with the matching themed stickers. Then you can turn it in for a prize!

When I was there last Sunday, there was no wait to get into the sprawling World of Disney store, but I did have to wait about 20 minutes to get into the Lego Store. No worries. How often do you get to pose with a life-sized Spiderman made out of Legos??!!
