With all that is going on I am taking (hopefully) a short break from posting on this account for the time being 🌎😩Based on the fact this account is solely about travel and I am currently on the 2nd week of isolation, ordered by my governor to stay home (can only leave for critical things such as food, gas, medical) and I know a lot are in the same boat, it doesn’t feel right for me to post about traveling at this moment. I am desperately hoping this will all settle as quickly as it started and we go back to normal life. It is definitely a scary time right now and I hope you all stay safe! How is it where you live? What an amazing day it would be to visit India 🇮🇳 Holi is an ancient Hindu festival known as the Indian festival of colors. Traditionally It signifies the victory of good over evil, but it also signifies the arrival of spring, the blossoming of love, and for many it is used as an occasion to mend damaged relationships, end conflicts and rid yourself of past emotional impurities. If that doesn’t already sound like a pretty great celebration, people also line the street to smear eachother with colored powder and drench eachother with color filled water balloons 🌈 I wish a happy and healthy spring to those celebrating

The ruins of the Cathedral of St Andrew for this , located in Fife, Scotland. The largest church to have been built in Scotland. It was built in 1158 and fell into ruin after Catholic mass was outlawed during the 16th century Scottish Reformation. During the reformation In June 1559, a Protestant mob ransacked the Cathedral and destroyed the interior of the building. The Cathedral fell into decline after the attack and by 1561 it had been abandoned and left to fall into ruin 🏴

The colorful Yellowstone Caldera, a supervolcano in Yellowstone National Park , Wyoming. Being thousands of times more powerful than a regular volcano if it ever erupted again it could spew ash for thousands of miles across the US. Luckily the odds of that ever happening is pretty low, it has only ever had 3 eruptions in history. One occurring 2.1 million years ago, one 1.3 million years ago, and the other 664,000 years ago 🤯🌋

This weeks is Gloucester Cathedral in Gloucester England. Between the stunning gothic architecture, massive stained glass windows and intricate vaulted ceilings you could get lost wandering around this place for hours. Bryce Canyon National Park in southwestern Utah. The park is distinctive due to the red geological structures called hoodoos which are thin spire of rocks formed by frost weathering and stream erosion. The Paiute Indians who lived in the area believed that hoodoos were Legend People that the mythological character Coyote turned to stone. It is said that they called these hoodoos Anka-ku-was-a-wits, which translates to "red painted faces"

The ruins of Downhill House in County Londonderry 🇬🇧 This mansion was built in 1772 for Frederick Hervey the 4th Earl of Bristol and Lord Bishop of Derry. Much of the building was destroyed by fire in 1851 before being rebuilt in the 1870s. It ultimately fell into disrepair after the Second World War.

Happy President’s Day from Mount Rushmore National Memorial in Keystone, South Dakota. Featured in the sculpture are the 60 foot heads of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. These four presidents were chosen to represent the nation's birth, growth, development, and preservation.
