🏰 𝐕𝐀𝐋 (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes)
Situé dans le Cantal, sur la commune de Lanobre, le château de Val, flanqué de ses 6 tours, est relié à la terre par une jetée.

Planté sur sa presqu’île, il a en fait été construit au XVème siècle sur un rocher de plus de 30 mètres, qui dominait la vallée à l’époque.

Mais suite à l’installation d’un barrage, toute la vallée a été mise en eau. Le château échappa de peu à la noyade!

Aujourd’hui, dans son environnement modifié, l’imposant château de Val est l’un des sites les plus pittoresques d’Auvergne.

Si vous vous rendez là-bas, pensez à monter au deuxième étage et à emprunter le chemin de ronde. Vous profiterez d’un panorama exceptionnel sur le lac et la nature environnante.

Anecdote: Le château de Val situé à Lanobre dans le Cantal (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), est en fait la propriété d’une autre commune: Bort-les-Orgues, située… en Corrèze (Nouvelle-Aquitaine).

For a small town, Cefalù offers a great deal, including sandy beaches, winding Mediaeval streets flanked with all manner of shops, excellent restaurants serving the freshest of fish and last but probably first, its unique Norman cathedral.

🇩🇪 🏰 Bienvenue au château de Marienburg en Allemagne !

Le château de Marienburg est un château fort de style médiéval / néo-gothique du XIXe siècle situé dans la commune de Pattensen, à 20 km au sud de Hanovre, en Basse-Saxe.

Le 14 avril 1857, le roi Georges V de Hanovre (1819-1878) offre ce château fort romantique néo-gothique à son épouse la reine Marie de Saxe-Altenbourg (1818-1907) pour son 39e anniversaire, à titre de villégiature d'été et de pavillon de chasse royal.

À la suite de l'annexion du Royaume de Hanovre par le Royaume de Prusse durant la guerre austro-prussienne de 1866, et à l'exil de la famille royale de Hanovre à Vienne en Autriche, le château reste inhabité à partir de 1869, durant 80 ans.

Les princes héréditaires héritiers successifs de la Maison de Hanovre le réintègrent après la Seconde Guerre mondiale en 1945, à titre de siège de la Maison de Hanovre.
