New Sacramento-Area Bujinkan Classes: Yojimbo Dojo Opening Wednesday, October 4, 2023

I’m pleased to be able to announce the establishment of the Bujinkan Yojimbo Dojo, with a training location in Guardian Protection Force’s new headquarters building in Rancho Cordova at 11160 Sun Center Drive.
As the weather changes it’s going to be nice to have a climate controlled indoor training area with mats (things like weapon racks and a kamidana will come later). The space GPF has set aside is 900 square feet or so. Instruction is going to be shared between me and Shidoshi Adam Ocrant.
Starting out at least, classes are going to be on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 PM; the idea is to make it possible for people to come directly from work, train, and still be able to get in some family time and sleep afterward. This also gives folks in other dojo around the area an additional training opportunity without interfering with what they may be doing already, as since the COVID pandemic began the emphasis seems to have turned to outdoor classes on weekends.
People coming to train can expect a strong life-protective emphasis: This has always been important both to me and to Shidoshi Ocrant, and given that there will be an interface with the protective services industry the dojo name, well, just seems natural!
We’ll be working a lot of things out as we go along, but now that the space is available we wanted to go ahead and start using it as immediately as feasible. Our first/opening class will be free for all (sorry, I’m fond of wordplays😂) so come join us if you can on October 4, 2023, at 6 PM at 11160 Sun Center Drive in Rancho Cordova!
