💡 Did you know? The Öresund Bridge connects Malmö in Skåne with Copenhagen and is the longest combined road and rail bridge in Europe, stretching an incredible 7.8 kilometers across the Öresund Strait.⁠

When traveling through Skåne, you’ll come across some seriously impressive architecture. Here are a few gems that’ll build up your excitement ⛪

1 & 2. Church of the Holy Trinity (Heliga Trefaldighets kyrka), Kristianstad

This Renaissance church was built in 1618, and is known for its stunningly light interior. Truly a masterpiece of space and symmetry.

3. The Citadell of Landskrona�

Dating back to 1549, this Renaissance fortress is one of Scandinavia’s oldest and best-preserved.�

4 & 5. Malmö Live Concert Hall

Malmö Live is considered one of the finest concert halls in Northern Europe, celebrated for its impeccable acoustics and modern design.

6. Wanås Castle

This 15th-century castle isn’t just historic - it’s home to a world-renowned sculpture park (Wanås Konst), seamlessly blending art, nature, and Swedish heritage in one unforgettable experience.

Harvest season in Skåne is coming right up, which is why you will find heaps of markets and events for food lovers all over our region.

Here are a few you need to lock in your calendar 📅

1. Smakmånad 31 Aug - 28 Sep: A variety of local food and drink events scattered across Kristianstad municipality, and don't miss the world's biggest spettekaka! 🌾⁠

2. Skåne Food Fest 6-7 Sep: Enjoy delicious local food and drink at the stunning castle of 🏰

3. Skördetid på Österlen 14 Sep - 13 Oct: Several food and drink events taking place on Österlen, such as honey tasting and artsy workshops 🎨

4. Great Swedish Beer Festival 13-14 Sep: Sweden’s biggest craft beer festival, hosted in Malmö 🍺

5. Äppelmarknaden i Kivik 28-29 Sep: Taste Skåne’s apples in any delicious form and get blown away by the the world’s biggest art piece made from apples 🍏

Skåne is known for its white, sandy beaches, and this one is no exception. This 3 km long stretch of sand in the southeast, called Sandhammaren, is well worth a visit for hikes and beach hangouts 🏖️

Please help us take care of our beautiful beaches by:

🗑️ Picking up any trash you find

❗Making sure you know the local rules of the area (for camping, lighting fires, etc.)

Enjoy the coast!
