Private party of 15 fed with one of the best and we'll known Indian restaurants having cast our votes to choose, that is TARKA HOUSE Restaurant, who we thank so much for getting us this banquet together and delivered in less than an hours notice.

Awesome fresh flavours throughout every dish, as can be expected from this establishment whom have a large and growing loyal fan base. Succulent large pieces of meat can be found in every dish, be it Lamb or Chicken, (our choice for the evening).

Songkran - Happy Holidays - Be Careful out there.

The statistics for the number of deaths during the Songkran New Year’s festival in Thailand for 2023: There were 469 deaths reported due to road accidents during the Songkran holidays from April 11 to 17.

The highest number of deaths recorded in recent years was in 2018, with 679 fatalities. It’s important to note that these numbers reflect the fatalities due to road accidents, which tend to increase during the festival period, often referred to as the “Seven Dangerous Days” due to the spike in traffic violations and accidents.

Has Sharples Traditional UK Chip Shop, Jomtien brought the true UK Doner kebab to Thailand? Let's find out...

First I couldn't see it featuring on any menu on the tables, but I knew it had been rolled out only yesterday to all their shops, I knew what I wanted and ordered, only then to be brought a menu only the staff had behind the counter to be given the option of Doner Kebab or Doner meat, the two options available.

I just wanted the Doner Kebab to see it in its full glory.

First impressions, big enough but wheres the meat amongst the jungle of full lettuce leaves, hence the video? There it was and plentiful for the 269 baht price and definitely a double fister to pick this one up.

I wasn't expecting a side salad or chips as the menu they showed me didn't say, but was greeted by them in any case and was a pleasant surprise, along with being given straight from the chiller a Garlic sauce and a Chilli sauce bottle. I knew the chilli sauce was homemade with the intent of bringing it as close as possible to the UK Kebab shops style, so was looking forward to trying that.

I'd give the taste and texture a good solid 8/10 and took a portion of Doner meat as a takeaway for others to try who were reasonably impressed as of writing.

Recommendations in order to add more authenticity -

1) Shred the salad particularly the lettuce (see photo example)
2) Please please please change that chilli sauce recipe, it was much more of a tomato sauce with a hint of chilli flavour without any heat. It should be spicy hot and those that don't like spicy simply use less. The thickness and viscosity though was pretty good.

Will try again in a couple of weeks or so.

Recently opened the Ring Side Cafe in Pattaya offers a delightful dining experience and a very refreshing alternative to other venues in the area, with a cosy, air-conditioned ambience and friendly service.

My guest and I had the salmon wrap, which was a perfect blend of flavours, with the freshness of the salmon complemented by the crispness of the vegetables and the tanginess of the sauce. The Pineapple Smoothie was refreshing and made with fresh fruit, providing a perfect accompaniment to the meal.

There are many options on their menu, 99% of which lean towards a healthier lifestyle from protein fruit shakes, wraps, salads, and numerous other offerings, including full English breakfasts.

Overall, it is a highly recommended spot for a delicious and satisfying meal in Pattaya overlooking the pool of the adjacent fitness resort.

At the Iss-was enjoyed the Currywurst I craved so much and found the best place so far to have one. It was the special for the day at 129 baht.

Awesomeness from the Thai chef who spent 30 years in Germany 🇩🇪 Great and vast menu of German and Thai food with weekly, daily and special Sunday Specials.

All their sausages made from the ground up, no mass produced wholesale deliveries for these guys. Only wish the fries were not fried so much.

I found the most value for money, tastiest Sunday Roast! I'm going to call it 'The Gut Buster', here's how this incredible 198 baht custom creation made it to No.1 position in the whole of Chon Buri -

3 X meats doubled-up (2 X Succulent Chicken Thighs, 2 X Mama's Meatloaf and 2 X Tender Pork)

4 X Yorkshire Puddings (2 X Stuffed with Cauliflower Cheese and Peas mix)

Carrots, Brussels Sprouts, Boiled pots., Roastie Pots., Broccoli

2 X Gravy portions.

A well deserved Stick a Fork In Me I'm Done, Review Score of 10/10.

Why?
1) Only 30 minute wait max considering the place was rammed.
2) It wasn't a buffet with food waiting around for hours to be taken.
3) I got to take 50% of it as a takeaway.
4) Cheapest big beer in town at 95 baht for 620ml to compliment.
5) Crazy unbeatable check bin of just 198 baht. Plus the beer.
6) Cooked to perfection.
7) Friendliest staff anyone could ask for.

I chanced it and found a seat at the bar but they recommend booking the day before.

Hung out to dry at THE DOG HOUSE!

I just got in with my LT of the night before the new kitchen closing time of 11 pm! Despite it saying open until 2 am on their FB Page at THE DOG HOUSE, which excited me having found a place open late with a menu that looked as if it had been put together with some thought. So I was keen to try!

I was greeted with smiles as I gingerly attempted to parallel park the two wheeler to the bar in the now very restricted Soi. Whitehouse since its new road was laid.

Already there were various stickers over this newly opened place's menu to the obvious miffed off faces of the servers, as I questioned the opening times.

Needless to say, they were very professional, attentive and instant rapport building with both my companion and I.

I couldn't immediately choose something from the menu to eat so ordered drinks, then realised as per usual, my Thai 'Friend' had already ordered her Spicy Seafood Noodles and it was already on its way 😆! God I love 'em!

I hurriedly ordered Pad See Ew G*i, which wasn't on the menu by the way, but they accommodated the request, so another thumbs up.

Great portions and both meals arrived at the same time so another 👍.

Spicy Noodles Seafood Salad and my Noodles dish came out at 179 and 169 respectively and we were both more than satisfied with portions, freshness, presentation and taste.

Thank you, we'll be back!

More of a Sports bar than anything else, with I hope great tasting future offerings to try. As we prepared to leave we was invited back at 6:30/7 am for beers and to watch the NFL Playoffs and some good 'ol American breakfast.
