Tours will start at 1pm on Saturdays from January 6th through March 30th. Tours last around an hour and a half with short educational stops at exceptional viewpoints including the Pioneer Monument, Murphy Cabin site, and natural features.

According to ABC News Weather Forecaster Brenden Mincheff:

"Heavy snow begins to fall in the Sierra on Saturday morning.

Snowfall totals will generally be 1-2 feet above 5,000 ft in elevation. My forecast for I-80 calls for about a foot at Nyack/Blue Canyon, & 1.5-2 feet at Donner.

It sounds so cute, but her human interactions put her at risk bcs if she bites someone, she’ll have to be put down! Like they would for a bear or coyote! 😿😿😿

Had a great quick trip to the snow this week. The trees are all dressed for the holidays. And the half pipe at is already fully built! I got to do some shoveling…digging out the recycling bin and bear box. And handled like a champ in the snow, like always! Got a little tuneup of our underglow light package and badges on the way up the hill. Stay tuned for a holiday light show.

Quick trip to . Did some work. Had some fun.

Blinged up the kitchenette with these cool stick-on tiles Joy Colangelo told me about. Matches the surround of the bathroom vanity.

Put up a TV. Put up some cute prints La Lune and Le Soleil.

And we took a little dip at Finnish Country Tubs.

Had dinner at Humboldt Bay Provisions, which has great oysters and dressings for them. Plus a huge charcuterie platter. And they have a really nice outdoor dining area so Beau can come with.

We had a great weekend at Palisades Tahoe for their . It’s September, I know! But a lot of mountain areas plan everything before snow could come down. SO we outfitted with these fun aprons and beer steins to make your own Octoberfest on your visit. We are so excited about our new place in Eureka…our pair of .

And the secret may be getting out. The Los Angeles Times has a story about this area being a . While the rest of the state is having a record-breaking heat wave and, sadly, fires…Eureka and surrounding area are foggy and a comfortable 62 degrees!

We were camping there this weekend and it was incredible!

As a brutal heat wave makes California sweat, residents in one part of the state are pulling out their jackets.
