As interest in the unique intersection between meteorology and a slew of business sectors and verticals increases, the club looks to focus on preparing its members in areas involving networking and professional development, as well as shed light on the various opportunities av

ailable to students graduating with an interest in weather risk (be it a B.S. In general, the club assesses this mission by providing a number of opportunities, workshops, and services, including (but not limited to):

Resume Workshops
Mock Interviewing
Guest Speakers from various weather impacted industries
Field Trips
Networking Tools Workshops (eCareer & LinkedIn)
Early Internship/Career Information from real employers
Class Track Advising
Weather Risk Presentations

Club flexibility is extremely high; so as the dynamics and interests of the members change, so does the scope of the mission for the club. The Weather Risk Management Club is for those students who ultimately have an interest in weather application to real world business problems. Private sectors affected by weather risk are virtually limitless, but primarily include Energy, Retail, Insurance, Reinsurance, Transportation, Agriculture, Commodity Trading, and Aviation. You have any interest in how weather has an impact on these sectors, the Weather Risk Management Club is for you!
