In addition to the lodges, Witch's Pool offers a number of exclusive 'rods' on the stunningly beautiful River Ericht, near the Perthshire town of Blairgowrie. This enables holiday makers to enjoy the relaxing yet exhilarating sport of salmon fishing for themselves under the guidance of an expert full-time ghillie. ar gorge, and the river runs with wild brown trout, salmon, sea trout and grilse. A successful restocking programme, begun in 1992, has seen the river go from strength to strength. The Ericht is an extremely important river within the Tay system and enjoys prolific runs of salmon from May to mid October, though July onwards is likely to yield the best rewards.
